Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic PE Physical Education Teacher to inspire students through engaging physical activity, sports, and health education. Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive physical education curricula aligned with educational standards and student needs.
- Lead engaging sports coaching sessions, fitness activities, and health lessons that cater to various learning styles.
- Manage classroom responsibilities efficiently while maintaining discipline and promoting positive behavior management strategies.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, skill evaluations, and ongoing formative assessments.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional modifications, and integration of educational technology tools.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and participation in physical activities.
- Adapt lessons for students with special education needs or diverse cultural backgrounds to ensure inclusive participation.
Requirements
- Proven experience teaching physical education at the middle or high school level, including working with teenagers.
- Strong knowledge of sports coaching techniques, childhood development, and classroom management strategies.
- Familiarity with educational compliance regulations, standardized testing protocols, and curriculum implementation standards.
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent-teacher interactions and public speaking engagements.
- Ability to utilize learning technology tools for lesson planning, instructional delivery, and assessment purposes.
- Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds and those with special education needs.
- Certification or licensure in physical education or related field is preferred; relevant experience in private or Montessori school settings is a plus.
