Job Description
The Opportunity
Join Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University as the Coordinator of Student Engagement and Student Union and play a key role in creating a vibrant, inclusive, and engaging campus experience for students. Reporting to the Assistant Director, this entry-level professional position serves as the primary advisor for fraternity and sorority life and the Board of Campus Activities while supporting leadership development, student involvement, volunteerism, and Student Union initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary advisor for Fraternity and Sorority Life, providing guidance on chapter development, leadership transitions, recruitment, accountability, and risk management.
- Advise and mentor the Board of Campus Activities, supporting the planning and execution of campus-wide programs, traditions, spirit initiatives, and late-night programming.
- Develop and facilitate leadership education programs, workshops, and training opportunities that promote student growth and success.
- Build meaningful relationships with students through mentorship, advising, and support for leadership and involvement opportunities.
- Coordinate and assess fraternity and sorority initiatives, student programming, and engagement efforts to enhance the overall student experience.
- Support New Student Orientation, Parent and Family initiatives, Registered Student Organizations, and Student Union operations.
- Assist with departmental marketing, budgeting, purchasing, event logistics, and administration of the university's student organization management platform.
- Collaborate with campus partners to promote student wellness, leadership development, community building, and retention while serving on committees and supporting university initiatives.

Compensation
The annual salary range for this role is $45,000 to $52,000. The final offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience, as well as applicable state regulations, internal equity, and business needs, and may fall outside of the stated range.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience in student leadership, fraternity and sorority life, student organizations, event planning, orientation, student engagement, or a related area.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to build positive relationships across campus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, student-centered environment.
- Willingness to work frequent evenings and weekends in support of campus programs, traditions, and student engagement initiatives.
- Experience supporting fraternities and sororities or student organizations in higher education is preferred.
- Familiarity with leadership development, assessment, risk management, and large-scale campus programming is preferred.
- Experience with student engagement software or organization management platforms is a plus, as is involvement with professional student affairs organizations.
