Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Distribution Engineering Department perform field inspections, data verification for Make Ready Application and other department projects. The work hours will be 7:00AM - 3:30PM, Monday through Friday. This position is fully on site, 5 days a week in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Preference given to those that live within 30 minutes or less of the location.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform post construction inspections on completed Make Ready work to validate required telecom clearances are met.
- Identify and report standards violations encountered during field visits that may be reimbursable by third party attachers.
- Assist in field survey for new business line extensions, modifications and permitting.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Good computer skills - Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook required
- Valid drivers license
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and manage assigned projects from start to completion.
- Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly and effectively both written and verbal. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to deal with the public and represent the company in a professional manner.
Education and Experience Required:
- 1 year of Engineering study and must be currently enrolled in a college engineering program.
- Valid Driver’s License
