Position Summary:

Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and replacing electrical equipment throughout the facility. Leads, guides, and/or trains other electricians in applicable procedures and techniques; coordinates system repairs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Installs, repairs, and maintains the electrical parts of industrial equipment.
• Follows safety procedures and adheres to electrical codes.
• Correctly interprets technical documents for proper execution of assignments.
• Conducts quality assurance measures and inspections.
• Works with maintenance, quality, and production personnel to analyze problems and to reduce operating downtime and to improve operations.
• Submits reports concerning condition of equipment and need for repairs or replacement.
• ·Instructs electrical repair personnel and other personnel on hazards and electrical and electronic safety procedures.
• Reports unsolved problems or changes in equipment or method of operation to Maintenance Superintendent.
• Repairs electrical/electronic equipment throughout the facility.
• Schedules or performs preventative maintenance to electrical/electronic equipment throughout the facility.
• Performs any other functions deemed necessary by the Supervisor and Maintenance Superintendent.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledgeable in pertinent electrical codes and regulations.
• Able to understand schematics and other technical documents.
• Must be able to handle physically-demanding tasks

Education and Experience:

• Associate’s degree in a related field is required.
• Certificate of completion in an apprenticeship program, or journeyman experience.
• 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
