Eaton’s Energy Transition Business Unit is currently seeking a Home Energy Business Development Manager to join its team. This remote role will cover the West Region, and only candidates located within the region will be considered. This exciting opportunity provides the chance to lead go-to-market strategies and business development efforts for Eaton’s smart panel and home energy solutions portfolio across the West Region. The role offers visibility across sales, product management, marketing, and strategic partnerships while shaping growth in the home energy management ecosystem. This position provides a significant opportunity to build market presence, develop new customer relationships, and drive expansion across key customer segments and partner channels.
What you’ll do:
You will lead the development and execution of go-to-market strategies that expand Eaton’s presence in the rapidly evolving home energy management ecosystem. In this highly visible role, you will collaborate closely with sales, product management, marketing, and strategic partners to drive revenue growth and position Eaton as the preferred solution for intelligent home energy systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to drive adoption of Eaton’s smart panel and home energy product portfolio across builders, installers, utilities, storage manufacturers, and partner channels.
- Identify, prioritize, and cultivate strategic relationships with OEMs, technology partners, builders, and other ecosystem players to expand market reach and jointly develop new opportunities.
- Collaborate with the North America sales organization to create programs, enablement tools, and partner initiatives that accelerate demand generation and sales funnel growth.
- Lead the creation and execution of go-to-market plans for home energy products, including partnership models, sales motions, value propositions, and channel engagement strategies.
- Assess market trends, regulatory dynamics, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to identify new growth opportunities for Eaton’s home energy portfolio.
- Advocate for customer and partner needs by collaborating with product management and engineering to influence product requirements, roadmaps, and integration opportunities.
- Track commercial performance, drive achievement of revenue and pipeline targets, and report progress to leadership.
- Maintain deep expertise in smart panels, home energy management, distributed energy resources, and connected-home ecosystems.
- Highly motivated, results oriented, and comfortable navigating fast-moving, evolving technology markets.
- Collaborative mindset with experience leading cross functional initiatives in dynamic environments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from accredited institution
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, product management, product marketing, operations, or engineering experience
- No relocation assistance will be provided for this role. Candidates must currently reside within Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, or Wyoming. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from accredited institution in Engineering, Sales, or related field
- Experience in residential applications (i.e., electrical, home energy management systems, DERs)
- Experience working with distributors, installers, utilities, or homebuilders
All positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process. All candidates will be evaluated based on job-related competencies, and all candidates’ privacy rights and data security will be protected in accordance with applicable laws.
The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive. This position has a target total compensation range of $166,800 - $244,800.
Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
