Engineering Administrative Assistant
Full-time | Engineering | Location – Olathe, KS, 66022
The Engineering Documentation and Data Specialist performs departmental support functions by using the Laser Scanner for 3D data collection for parts to be drawn by the CAD Operators, as well as by creating reports, entering and tracking new and completed drawings, and creating digital drawing files for new and revised drawings.
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You’ll deliver short and long-term projects that support the business strategy. This will involve:
Updating Engineering database; drawing status, comments, completions.
Produce regularly scheduled (weekly, monthly etc.) reports.
Create and file and track electronic documents.
Manually file hard copies of documents, and or convert hard copies to digital format for storage and retrieval.
Perform maintenance on part numbers for Engineers.
Support Engineering with clerical activities
Utilize a Laser Scanner, for 3D data collection for parts to be drawn by the CAD Operators. Save and organize data, and issue tracking report to monitor progress.
Support the Engineering group with LINK capabilities such as issuing Purchase Orders, load Bill of Materials, and Customer Orders

- Must possess a minimum of one year work experience performing substantially similar administrative essential functions
- Proficient experience with Excel, Microsoft Database, and JIRA
- Demonstrates effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
- Demonstrates effective organizational, time management and follow up skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks
- Must be team oriented, possess a positive attitude and collaborate effectively with others to achieve goals in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
