About an Engineering Project Manager :

BMA captures and performs complex multi-year projects. An Engineering Project Manager is responsible for aligning the technical direction of projects with the Principal Investigator, planning and scheduling all elements of the project, coordinating with BMA teammates, outside vendors, stakeholders and customers; and all reporting requirements. The Engineering Project Manager must be organized, disciplined, dependable and accountable. Excellent professional presentation, communication and writing skills are required. An engineering background is required to achieve project technical requirements. Some travel is required.

Key information:

• BMA operates a factory of hybrid wire arc-DED machines
• BMA is a technical and industry leader in the wire arc-DED industry
• BMA performs multi-year engineering development projects from Department of War
• Projects are complex and must be coordinated among personnel, machines and vendors
• Successful project execution is expected to transition to manufacturing production capabilities

Job Responsibilities:

The Engineering Project Manager shall manage projects from capture to completion including project integration, planning/scheduling, subcontracting to vendors/suppliers, performance/ performance measurement / performance reporting, budget, and team coordination. Performance reporting includes weekly updates, monthly reports/presentations, quarterly reports/presentations and final reports. Reporting is expected to the BMA team and customer/stakeholder. Not everything is delegated, the Engineering Project Manager is expected to cover task assignments when possible. The Engineering Project Manager shall be constantly aware of and responsive to contract requirements and customer expectations. The Engineering Project Manager shall meet contract deliverables. Adherence to BMA procedures and policies is essential. This position will report to the Engineering Manager.

• Prepare and manage Project GANTT schedule (detailed subtask level)
• Manage Project Task List (Excel team coordination)
• Coordinate tasks/subtasks with BMA team, vendors and partners
• Perform tasks when possible or necessary
• Prepare high-quality weekly, monthly, quarterly reports
• Prepare technical reports and technical presentations (involve BMA technical experts)
• Present reports to BMA executive team, customers and stakeholders
• Collect and summarize accurate budget information weekly (internal) / monthly (external)
• Achieve on-time deliverables and deliveries
• Adhere to BMA procedures and policies
• Comply with BMA Quality Management System

Requirements:

• Must be a US citizen
• BS degree in Engineering discipline
• Strong capabilities with MS Project
• Excellent MS Excel, Powerpoint and Word skills
• Professional presentation skills

5+ years’ experience engineering project execution

2+ years experience:

• Successful project management (budget/schedule/deliverables)
• High-quality customer presentations (programmatic and technical)
• Working with vendors and service providers
• Working within a Quality Management System (AS9100/ISO9001)
• Preparing executive briefings and providing status updates
• High-dollar-value deliverables ($1M+)

Additional candidate advantages

Pay: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
