- Lead the design, development, and implementation of warehouse and distribution center solutions including facility layouts, operational processes, and equipment selection.
- Analyze and optimize operational workflows, including inbound, putaway, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, and value-added services (VAS), to ensure efficient and scalable execution.
- Define facility, process, and equipment requirements and gain stakeholder alignment on final solution designs.
- Support design and implementation of warehouse technologies and distribution systems, including WMS or other related operational platforms, to maximize performance and operational effectiveness.
- Develop detailed implementation plans, schedules, and task lists to support successful project delivery in partnership with Project Managers and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Identify, evaluate, and procure capital equipment and other required assets to support operational start-up and long-term business objectives.
- Manage vendor, supplier, contractor, and customer relationships throughout project execution.
- Support the implementation and integration of automation and material handling solutions within distribution and fulfillment operations as a part of the overall engineering design.
- Ensure all solutions comply with applicable customer requirements, safety standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Coordinate multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while proactively identifying risks, resolving issues, and driving successful project outcomes.
- Develop and deliver project updates, business cases, presentations, and recommendations to leadership, customers, and executive stakeholders.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, IT, construction, and external partners to ensure successful project execution and operational readiness.
- Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative supply chain solutions to continuously improve operational performance and design standards.
- Support project activities within warehouse and construction environments, including travel, site assessments, commissioning, testing, and operational launches.
- Travel as required to support project implementations, customer engagements, and business initiatives.
- Perform additional duties and special projects related to operational improvements, new business implementations, network expansions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Four-year degree is basic requirement (Industrial Engineering preferred)
- Minimum of 6 years in the Logistics/Supply Chain Industry
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in warehousing solution implementation and design
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Vizio, and use of Teams / SharePoint
- AutoCAD LT
- Knowledge of WMS functional processes
- Knowledge of LMS, TMS, YMS (nice to have)
- English (reading, writing, verbal), Spanish a plus
- Interpersonal communication and language skills (e.g., listening to others, speaking to others, reading, writing).
- Communication (facilitation skills and very mature communication skills to be able to communicate to all levels in the organization).
- Strong writing skills with experience documenting design methodologies to create logistics solutions and responses to RFPs.
- Experience dealing with end users, vendors, and clients.
- Experience in 3PL environment
- Six Sigma / Lean Certifications (a plus)
- Diverse solution experience for multiple different business channels including but not limited to Consumer Products, Retail, Manufacturing Support, and E-commerce.
- Experience with various size and scope complexity projects from a design and implementation standpoint for warehouse solutions.
- Experience in warehouse automation applications (Pick to Light, Goods to Person, Automated Sortation, AMR, AGV, conveyor design, etc.)
- Experience supporting BRD (business requirements document) creation, holistic detailed design, procurement, and vendor management for project implementations.
- As Assigned: management of vendors completing work tasks for the project.
- May Be: identified to support onboarding of peers.
For this position, the expected base pay range is $103,000.00 – $128,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
