Overview

As an Environmental Services Technician, you’ll help maintain clean, safe, and welcoming healthcare spaces. You’ll clean residentrooms and shared areas, support laundry operations, and follow infection prevention and safety procedures. Your work helps care teams focus on residents and gives residents, visitors, and staff a more sanitary environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect resident rooms, restrooms, and common areas using approved methods and cleaning equipment.
• Perform floor care, collect and transport laundry, and restock supplies as assigned.
• Handle cleaning chemicals and other chemical agents according to labels, safety protocols, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.
• Follow healthcare infection prevention and control procedures, including sanitation practices and safe handling of waste.
• Respond to service requests with care, professionalism, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Cleaning, janitorial, custodial, or environmental services experience is helpful; healthcare facilities housekeeping or hospital experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitation, floor care, laundry, cleaning equipment, and chemical handling is an asset.
• Able to perform manual handling and heavy lifting, using safe lifting practices.
• Able to follow safety protocols and infection prevention procedures consistently.
• Communicates respectfully with patients, visitors, and coworkers.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
