ERP Business Analyst Jobs in California: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a erp business analyst in California?
Most erp business analyst roles in California start with a bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or business, followed by hands-on ERP platform experience. California employers do not require a state-issued license for this role, but earning a vendor certification such as SAP Certified Application Associate or Oracle Fusion Cloud certification significantly strengthens candidacy. Many analysts build initial experience through IT or operations roles inside large California industries such as healthcare, state government, or technology.
How much do ERP business analysts make in California?
ERP business analysts in California earn a median of about $127,720 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $79,110 for the lowest 10% to over $181,770 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire erp business analysts in California?
Employers hiring erp business analysts in California right now include Advanced Ground Systems Engineering, Calsoft Systems, and Onto Innovation, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. California's concentration of enterprise technology headquarters, large healthcare systems, and state agency modernization projects creates consistent and varied demand for analysts with implementation and configuration experience.
Which California cities have the most erp business analyst jobs?
Cerritos, Los Angeles, and Milpitas have the most erp business analyst openings in California right now. The Bay Area leads because of its density of enterprise software headquarters and Fortune 500 technology companies, while Los Angeles is driven by entertainment, aerospace, and healthcare organizations running large ERP environments, and Sacramento draws demand from state government agencies actively modernizing legacy systems.
Are there remote erp business analyst jobs in California?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 21% of erp business analyst openings tied to California are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how much of this work centers on system configuration, documentation, and stakeholder meetings that translate well to distributed teams. Requirements-gathering workshops and UAT cycles are the parts most likely to require occasional on-site presence at California client or employer locations.
How can I get hired as a erp business analyst in California with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from a functional role in finance, supply chain, or operations inside a California company that already runs SAP or Oracle, then volunteering for system upgrade or implementation projects to build hands-on ERP exposure. Large California employers in healthcare and state government, including county agencies and UC system campuses, regularly hire junior business systems analysts who grow into ERP-focused roles. Earning a vendor-specific associate certification before applying gives candidates a concrete, verifiable credential that offsets a thin project history.
Where can I find and apply to erp business analyst jobs in California?
You can find and apply to erp business analyst jobs in California on Migrate Mate, which lists current California openings across industries and experience levels. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly to each one.
