ERP Business Analyst Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a erp business analyst in Texas?
Most erp business analyst roles in Texas require a bachelor's degree in information systems, business administration, or a related field, combined with hands-on ERP platform experience. Texas has no state-issued license for this role, so employers focus on certifications from vendors like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft and demonstrated project experience. Building expertise in one platform, earning a vendor certification, and gaining exposure through functional analyst or systems support roles at Texas-based companies is the most direct path.
How much do ERP business analysts make in Texas?
ERP business analysts in Texas earn a median of about $107,390 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $72,530 for the lowest 10% to over $168,140 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire erp business analysts in Texas?
Employers hiring erp business analysts in Texas right now include Houston Methodist, Highline Warren, and CMC, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of energy, healthcare, and large enterprise headquarters means demand is especially consistent in the Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston corridors, where SAP and Oracle implementations drive the bulk of openings.
Which Texas cities have the most erp business analyst jobs?
Houston, Dallas, and Fort Worth have the most erp business analyst openings in Texas, reflecting where the state's largest enterprise employers are headquartered. Dallas-Fort Worth leads because of its dense cluster of Fortune 500 companies and professional services firms, while Houston's energy and petrochemical sector sustains strong SAP demand and Austin's growth in technology and semiconductor companies drives Oracle and Dynamics hiring.
Are there remote erp business analyst jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 17% of erp business analyst openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how much of the work, including requirements gathering, documentation, and configuration review, can be done off-site. Roles tied to active go-live implementations or on-site user training tend to require in-person presence, while post-implementation support and pre-project discovery work are the most consistently remote.
How can I get hired as a erp business analyst in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from a functional role inside a business that runs an ERP system, such as accounts payable specialist, inventory coordinator, or supply chain analyst, where you already work inside the platform daily. Large Texas employers in energy and healthcare regularly hire internal candidates into junior business analyst roles and provide ERP training. Earning an entry-level SAP or Oracle certification, volunteering on an internal system upgrade project, and targeting associate business analyst postings at Texas-based consulting firms accelerates the transition significantly.
Where can I find and apply to erp business analyst jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to erp business analyst jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings across Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, and beyond. Find roles that match your ERP platform experience and seniority level and apply directly to each one.
