How do I get a field manager job in San Diego?
Focus your search on San Diego's construction and infrastructure boom along the South Bay and Mission Valley corridors, and on defense and telecom contractors concentrated in Kearny Mesa and Sorrento Valley. General contractors working on the region's ongoing military base upgrades, transit projects, and coastal development hire field managers consistently. Candidates who can demonstrate hands-on site coordination in San Diego's permit environment and fast-paced build schedules have a clear edge over generalist applicants.
Which companies hire field managers in San Diego?
Companies currently hiring field managers in San Diego include Northrop Grumman, Enlyte, and Harrow, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. San Diego's mix of large federal contractors, regional utilities, and mid-size construction firms means openings appear across both corporate operations and project-based roles throughout the metro.
