Finance Administrator Jobs in Arkansas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a finance administrator in Arkansas?
Most Arkansas employers require a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration as the baseline qualification. The finance administrator role in Arkansas carries no state-issued license, but candidates who hold a Certified Public Accountant credential through the Arkansas State Board of Public Accountancy or a Certified Management Accountant designation stand out, particularly for roles in healthcare and state government agencies where compliance knowledge is valued.
Which companies hire finance administrators in Arkansas?
Arkansas finance administrator roles are posted by Edward Jones, Southwest Power Pool, and The Blossoms and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Arkansas's concentration of large healthcare systems, a major retail corporate headquarters, and substantial state agency operations means finance administrator hiring stays active across both private and public sector employers throughout the year.
Which Arkansas cities have the most finance administrator jobs?
Little Rock, Harrison, and Pine Bluff have the most finance administrator openings in Arkansas. Little Rock drives volume through state government agencies and healthcare networks, Fayetteville draws openings from the University of Arkansas and regional medical campuses, and Bentonville's concentration of retail corporate offices and supplier headquarters makes it an unusually active market for a city its size.

About 50% of finance administrator openings tied to Arkansas are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting national trends in corporate finance functions. Accounts payable processing, grant reporting, and financial analysis positions are the sub-functions most likely to carry a remote or hybrid option.
How can I get hired as a finance administrator in Arkansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing an accounts payable clerk, billing coordinator, or administrative assistant role at a large Arkansas employer, then moving into a finance administrator title after demonstrating accuracy and process ownership. Arkansas Children's Hospital, Baptist Health, and the University of Arkansas system regularly hire for entry-level finance and billing support roles that serve as feeders into administrator positions. Completing an associate or bachelor's degree in accounting alongside the entry role, or earning a bookkeeping certificate through an Arkansas community college such as Pulaski Tech or NorthWest Arkansas Community College, gives candidates a measurable edge when applying for the next step up.
