Financial Services Account Executive Jobs in Rhode Island: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a financial services account executive in Rhode Island?
Most Rhode Island employers require a bachelor's degree in finance, business, or economics combined with relevant FINRA licensing. Candidates selling investment or insurance products must pass the Series 6, Series 7, or Series 63 exams, registered through FINRA and recognized by the Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation. Insurance-focused roles additionally require a Rhode Island Property and Casualty or Life and Health producer license issued by the DBR's Insurance Division before client-facing work begins.
Which companies hire financial services account executives in Rhode Island?
Companies currently hiring financial services account executives in Rhode Island include CVS Health, Bank of America, and Gilbane, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Rhode Island's concentration of regional insurers, community banks, and the Citizens Financial Group headquarters in Providence means openings appear consistently across multiple firm sizes and specialties.
Which Rhode Island cities have the most financial services account executive jobs?
Providence, Newport, and Rhode Island have the most financial services account executive openings in Rhode Island. Providence dominates because it is home to Citizens Financial Group's headquarters and a dense cluster of insurance carriers and wealth management offices, while Warwick and Cranston draw openings from Amica Mutual and the suburban commercial corridors that serve small and mid-size business clients across the state.
Are there remote financial services account executive jobs in Rhode Island?
Yes, and they are more common than in many fields, since much of the role involves phone and video-based client outreach rather than on-site work. About 45% of financial services account executive openings tied to Rhode Island are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting flexibility that many carriers and banks now offer. Account management and inside sales functions are the most frequently remote, while roles requiring in-person client visits or branch presence remain on-site.
How can I get hired as a financial services account executive in Rhode Island with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a licensed sales associate or financial services representative role at a Rhode Island carrier or bank, where employers provide licensing support before promoting into account executive responsibilities. Amica Mutual and Citizens Bank both run structured associate programs for new graduates in Rhode Island. Candidates moving laterally from customer service, insurance claims, or retail banking roles have a strong advantage, and obtaining a Rhode Island Property and Casualty producer license before applying makes an application stand out immediately.
Where can I find and apply to financial services account executive jobs in Rhode Island?
You can find and apply to financial services account executive jobs in Rhode Island on Migrate Mate, which lists current Rhode Island openings updated regularly.
