What You Will Get To Do:
- Lead and manage a team responsible for hedge fund accounting deliverables, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Oversee month-end close processes and review NAV calculations
- Manage the production of investor allocations and calculation of management and incentive fees
- Review and post accounting entries to the general ledger
- Support ad-hoc reporting and client deliverables
- Work across a wide range of financial instruments including bonds, swaps, CDOs, ABS, equities, options, FX, repos, and futures
- Partner with global teams to reconcile cash and securities, price portfolios, and validate daily P&L
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between accounting and trade entry systems
- Liaise with auditors and support year-end financial statement preparation
- Mentor, develop, and provide ongoing guidance to team members
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
- Master’s degree and/or CPA is a strong plus
- 6–8+ years of experience in accounting or back-office operations within a Prime Broker, Fund Administrator, Hedge Fund, Investment Advisor, or Audit firm
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and corporate actions
- Experience with a variety of financial products including equities, fixed income, repos, futures, FX, mortgages, and options
- Advanced Excel skills
- Proven supervisory experience with strong delegation and team leadership abilities
