Assistant General Manager

Job Overview
The Assistant General Manager plays a vital leadership role within the organization, supporting the overall management and operational success of the business. Duties

• Assist in managing daily store or restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
• Supervise staff members, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a productive work environment.
• Oversee managerial communication across departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems to facilitate transactions and gather sales data for analysis.
• Track inventory levels regularly, monitor stock movement, and order necessary supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Handle purchasing activities, including vendor relations and procurement processes.
• Monitor budgets, track revenue, and analyze shift metrics to evaluate operational performance.
• Control operational numbers by reviewing sales reports and implementing improvements as needed.
• Support in supervising the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Contribute to strategic planning efforts aimed at increasing profitability and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Proven supervisory or supervising experience in a retail, hospitality, or related environment.
• Strong managerial communication skills to effectively lead teams and coordinate with upper management.
• Experience with POS systems for sales processing and reporting.
• Knowledge of inventory management practices and purchasing procedures.
• Ability to track financial metrics such as budgets and revenue figures accurately.
• Demonstrated ability to manage operational numbers and shift metrics effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing inventories and operational data.
