INTRODUCTION

NOVA Engineering is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Project Engineer / Geologist to join our Pensacola, FL office. NOVA works on a diverse range of projects including commercial, industrial, retail, government, office, transportation, and residential developments. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects from inception to completion.
• Conduct and oversee special inspections and construction materials testing projects.
• Review and approve technical reports for both geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing projects, ensuring they meet client and regulatory requirements.
• Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering or Geology from an ABET-accredited institution, or an equivalent international degree with NCEES credential evaluation, is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred or ability to obtain quickly.
• 4 - 8 years of experience in geotechnical engineering is required.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
