Graphic Designer Jobs in Atlanta: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a graphic designer job in Atlanta?
Atlanta's strongest hiring comes from its advertising agencies, in-house marketing teams at major retailers and hospitality brands, and the growing tech sector clustered in Midtown and Buckhead. Candidates who show brand identity work, motion graphics, or UX-adjacent skills tend to stand out locally. Targeting creative agencies along the West Midtown corridor and in-house roles at Atlanta's large consumer brands gives you the best entry points in this market.
Which companies hire graphic designers in Atlanta?
Employers hiring graphic designers in Atlanta right now include Get Engaged Media, Kdc, and DLH, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Atlanta's mix of Fortune 500 headquarters, regional agencies, and fast-growing media and tech companies means opportunities exist at every scale, from boutique studios to large in-house creative departments.
Are there remote graphic designer jobs in Atlanta?
Yes, though it depends on the work: production-heavy or print-focused roles tend to be on-site, while digital, brand, and UI-focused positions are more remote-friendly. About 60% of graphic designer openings tied to Atlanta are remote or hybrid as of August 2026. Digital marketing agencies and tech-adjacent employers in Atlanta are the most likely to offer flexible arrangements.
How can I get a graphic designer job in Atlanta with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Atlanta is through junior or production designer roles at the city's many mid-size advertising and marketing agencies, particularly those in West Midtown and the Buckhead business district. Atlanta's large nonprofit sector and universities also hire entry-level designers for communications work. A strong portfolio of real or speculative brand and digital projects, even from personal or student work, is what gets an interview at Atlanta employers more than credentials alone.
Which industries hire the most graphic designers in Atlanta?
Atlanta graphic designer roles concentrate in Media & Entertainment, Chemicals & Materials, and Distribution & Wholesale, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Atlanta's position as a regional hub for media production, retail headquarters, and a growing tech scene means consistent demand for designers who can work across both digital and brand identity disciplines.
