Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship in Brazer
Document your welding and brazing certifications early
PERM requires your employer to prove you meet the job's stated minimum requirements. Gather AWS certifications, trade school transcripts, and employer letters before the job offer stage so there are no credential gaps when DOL reviews the application.
Target manufacturers enrolled in E-Verify
Employers already using E-Verify for workforce compliance are more familiar with federal immigration requirements. Sheet metal fabricators, aerospace subcontractors, and HVAC equipment manufacturers in industrial hubs are practical starting points for finding sponsoring employers.
Search green card sponsorship history using Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate surfaces employers with active EB-3 filing history for skilled trade and manufacturing roles. Use it to identify which fabrication and assembly shops have previously sponsored Brazer positions before you invest time in an application.
Verify the prevailing wage tier before accepting an offer
Your employer must pay at least the DOL prevailing wage for your work location and experience level. Check the OFLC Wage Search for Brazer wages in your target city so you can confirm the offered salary meets PERM requirements before signing.
Understand that PERM resets if you change employers
Unlike H-1B portability, a PERM labor certification is tied to a specific employer and job. If you switch jobs before your I-140 is approved, the entire PERM process starts over with the new employer, including a new recruitment period and DOL review.
Ask employers about concurrent I-140 and I-485 filing
Once your priority date is current, your employer can file the I-140 and your I-485 adjustment of status application at the same time. Confirming the employer understands concurrent filing can shorten the gap between PERM approval and your green card interview.

Find Brazer JobsBrazer Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Brazer role qualify for EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Yes. Brazer is classified as a skilled worker occupation under the EB-3 category, which covers jobs requiring at least two years of training or experience. Employers sponsor Brazers through PERM labor certification, which requires demonstrating that no qualified U.S. worker is available for the position before USCIS approves the I-140 immigrant petition.
How is PERM green card sponsorship different from an H-1B for this role?
H-1B visas require a specialty occupation with at least a bachelor's degree, so most Brazer roles do not qualify. PERM-based EB-3 sponsorship has no annual lottery and leads to permanent residency rather than a temporary status. The tradeoff is timeline: PERM plus I-140 approval typically takes one to three years before adjustment of status, depending on your country of birth and visa bulletin backlog.
Which employers typically sponsor green cards for Brazers?
Aerospace manufacturers, HVAC equipment producers, industrial refrigeration companies, and precision metal fabricators are the most active EB-3 sponsors for skilled trade roles like Brazer. These employers operate in regulated industries where workforce continuity matters and where retaining trained foreign workers through permanent sponsorship is a practical business decision.
How can I find Brazer jobs with green card sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for employment-based green card job searches. It filters for employers with documented EB-3 and PERM sponsorship history in manufacturing and skilled trades, so you can focus applications on companies that have already committed to sponsoring foreign workers rather than asking employers to start the process from scratch.
What role does the DOL recruitment period play in Brazer PERM cases?
Before filing PERM with DOL, your employer must conduct a formal recruitment campaign to verify no qualified U.S. worker is available for the Brazer position. This typically takes 60 to 90 days and includes job postings, newspaper ads, and internal notices. DOL then reviews the recruitment results before certifying the application, which is the prerequisite for filing your I-140 with USCIS.
