Our Core Values
We’ve Got Each Other’s Backs
First and foremost, we are a team. That means when someone is having a hard time, we step up and help each other out, whether it’s part of our day-to-day job or not. We’ve got each other’s backs. No questions asked.
Own Up
No one is perfect. We get that. If you make a mistake, own up to it, help to fix it, learn from it and move on.
It's Not Always Sunny
Ag construction is a vital part of our rural economy, but it’s hard work. Whether it’s 75 and sunny, or 15 and snowy, we work in the elements, day in and day out. Because of that, positive attitudes are a must. We’re all in this together in every situation to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
No Jerks Allowed
It doesn’t matter if we’re talking to a customer or a colleague, treating each other with respect, having a good attitude and taking responsibility for our work is of the utmost importance. Whatever job we’re on, we give 100% at all times, doing everything to the very best of our ability. We take pride in what we do and how we treat one another is no exception.

Document your trade credentials before applying
Gather apprenticeship certificates, union membership records, and any journeyman documentation. PERM requires your employer to show you meet the job's minimum requirements, so gaps in your credential file can stall the labor certification process.
Target contractors enrolled in E-Verify
E-Verify enrollment signals that a contractor already manages employment eligibility documentation. Commercial general contractors and federal government subcontractors are often required to use E-Verify, making them more accustomed to sponsoring foreign trade workers.
Research prevailing wages before salary negotiations
Look up your target metro area using the OFLC Wage Search before accepting an offer. DOL sets four prevailing wage levels for carpenter roles, and your offered wage must meet at least Level I or your employer's PERM application will be denied.
Search verified sponsoring employers through Migrate Mate
Filter by Construction Carpenter roles with active green card sponsorship history using Migrate Mate. This narrows your job search to contractors who have already completed PERM filings, cutting out the guesswork of cold-approaching employers unfamiliar with the process.
Clarify your EB-2 or EB-3 pathway with your employer
Most carpenter roles qualify under EB-3 skilled worker because the position typically requires less than a master's degree. Confirm which category your employer intends to file under before PERM begins, since the wage requirements and processing timelines differ between the two.
Plan your timeline around PERM recruitment obligations
DOL requires employers to complete a mandatory supervised recruitment period before filing PERM, which typically adds three to six months before the I-140 can even be submitted. Ask your prospective employer whether they have completed this step or are starting from scratch.

Find Construction Carpenter JobsConstruction Carpenter Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Construction Carpenter job qualify for EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Yes. Construction Carpenter is classified as a skilled worker under EB-3 because the occupation requires at least two years of training or experience. Your employer files a PERM labor certification with DOL to prove no qualified U.S. worker is available, then submits an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS on your behalf. Most carpenter roles do not require an advanced degree, so EB-3 is the standard pathway.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for carpenters?
The H-1B requires a specialty occupation tied to a bachelor's degree in a specific field, which most carpenter roles cannot satisfy. Green card sponsorship through EB-3 is based on job skills and training rather than degree level, making it far more accessible for trade workers. There is also no annual lottery for EB-3 filings, though per-country backlogs can affect your wait time depending on your birth country.
What credentials do I need for a carpenter PERM application?
DOL requires your employer to define the minimum job requirements before filing PERM, and you must meet those requirements at the time of filing. For carpenters, this typically means apprenticeship completion records, journeyman certificates, or documented years of hands-on experience in framing, finishing, or a specialty trade. Union membership cards and employer reference letters from prior jobs in your home country strengthen your file significantly.
How do I find contractors who will sponsor a green card?
Start by looking for contractors with a documented history of PERM filings, since employers who have sponsored workers before understand the legal and administrative obligations involved. Migrate Mate lets you search Construction Carpenter openings filtered by green card sponsorship history, so you can focus your applications on employers already familiar with the PERM and I-140 process rather than trying to convince a new sponsor from scratch.
How long does the EB-3 green card process take for a carpenter?
The full process has three major stages: PERM labor certification with DOL typically takes six to twelve months, the I-140 petition with USCIS adds another six to twelve months depending on whether premium processing is used, and then you wait for a visa number to become available. Applicants born in countries without high demand for EB-3 numbers often receive a visa number quickly, while those born in high-demand countries may wait several years after I-140 approval.
