Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Green Card Jobs
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist roles qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process, which requires employers to document recruitment efforts before filing an I-140 petition. CRNAs are in high demand across hospital systems, surgical centers, and critical access facilities, making sponsorship more accessible than in many clinical specialties.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship in Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
Verify your CRNA credentials meet PERM requirements
PERM requires your education and licensure to match the job description exactly. Confirm your CRNA certification from the NBCRNA and any state-specific anesthesia licensure are documented in the format DOL auditors expect before your employer files.
Target hospital systems with established immigration infrastructure
Academic medical centers and large health systems sponsoring CRNAs already have immigration counsel and DOL recruitment compliance processes in place. Facilities sponsoring for the first time face longer timelines while building that infrastructure from scratch.
Search for green card sponsoring CRNA jobs on Migrate Mate
Filter by EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship availability to find facilities actively filing PERM for anesthesia roles. Migrate Mate surfaces employers with green card sponsorship history so you're not cold-applying to facilities with no prior sponsorship process.
Understand how PERM recruitment timelines affect your start date
Your employer must complete DOL-mandated recruitment steps, typically spanning 60 to 90 days, before filing PERM. Negotiate your intended start date with this window in mind, because PERM cannot be filed until that recruitment period closes.
Use OFLC Wage Search to anchor your salary negotiation
DOL requires your offered wage to meet the prevailing wage for your CRNA role at the specific practice location. Pull the current Level I through Level IV wage tiers from OFLC Wage Search before signing an offer so you know the floor your employer must meet.
Check your EB-3 priority date against the Visa Bulletin early
For most nationalities, EB-3 for CRNAs has no meaningful backlog. If you're from India or China, your priority date determines when you can file for adjustment of status, which can add years to your permanent residency timeline. Confirm your country's cutoff date with USCIS before choosing between EB-2 and EB-3 pathways.

Find Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist JobsCertified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does CRNA qualify as a specialty occupation for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
CRNA roles typically qualify under EB-3 as skilled workers requiring a graduate-level nursing degree and national certification, and can qualify under EB-2 when the employer requires a master's-level degree or equivalent. EB-2 is more common in academic medical centers and complex surgical environments where a Master of Science in Nursing Anesthesia is a stated job requirement rather than just preferred.
How does PERM green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for a CRNA role?
H-1B is a temporary work visa requiring employer sponsorship and subject to the annual lottery cap. PERM-based EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship leads to lawful permanent residency and has no annual lottery. The PERM process takes longer upfront, typically 12 to 24 months from labor certification to I-140 approval, but the outcome is a green card rather than a time-limited status that must be renewed.
Where can I find CRNA jobs that include green card sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you filter CRNA job listings by EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship availability, so you can focus on employers actively supporting permanent residency rather than only temporary work authorization. This is especially useful because most general job boards don't distinguish between employers who offer H-1B and those with a full PERM and I-140 track.
Can a CRNA be sponsored for a green card while already working in the U.S. on a temporary visa?
Yes. Your employer can initiate the PERM process while you're working on a valid H-1B or other nonimmigrant status. Once your I-140 is approved, you can file for adjustment of status concurrently if a visa number is available for your country. Maintaining valid nonimmigrant status throughout this process is required, so any gaps in authorization need to be addressed before filing.
What role does the DOL prevailing wage determination play in a CRNA green card case?
Before filing PERM, your employer must request a prevailing wage determination from DOL, which sets the minimum salary they must offer you. The offered wage in your job offer must meet or exceed this amount for the entire sponsorship to be valid. OFLC Wage Search shows current wage levels by location and experience tier, so you can verify compliance before accepting an offer.
