ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Credentialed Veterinary Technician, you'll practice at the top of your license by:
- Performing patient assessments and obtaining medical histories
- Safely restraining patients using Fear Free techniques
- Monitoring anesthesia and assisting with surgical procedures
- Performing dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
- Collecting laboratory samples and running in-house diagnostics
- Administering medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed
- Placing and maintaining intravenous catheters
- Taking and positioning patients for digital radiographs
- Educating clients on preventive care, medications, and treatment plans
- Maintaining accurate medical records
- Collaborating with veterinarians and the hospital team to provide exceptional patient care
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Current CVT credential required
- Ideal minimum of 1 year of experience as a credentialed veterinary technician
- Strong technical and anesthesia monitoring skills
