Clinical Partner Green Card Jobs
Clinical Partner roles in hospital systems and outpatient clinics qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process. Employers document recruitment efforts before filing an I-140 immigrant petition, putting you on the path to permanent residency. Understanding how PERM timelines interact with your current visa status is the first practical step toward sponsorship.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship in Clinical Partner
Verify your credential equivalency before applying
Foreign nursing or allied health credentials often require a CGFNS evaluation or state board review before a PERM-based employer can document your qualifications. Get that evaluation completed early so it doesn't delay the labor certification filing.
Target health systems with established PERM histories
Large hospital networks and academic medical centers file PERM applications regularly for clinical roles. Search DOL disclosure data by occupation code to identify employers who have sponsored Clinical Partner positions in the past three years.
Search green card sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Filter by Clinical Partner roles and green card sponsorship history directly on Migrate Mate. This narrows your search to employers who have already navigated PERM for clinical positions, saving you time during outreach.
Clarify the prevailing wage tier during offer negotiations
DOL assigns a wage level one through four when the employer files the PERM application. Your offered salary must meet that level. Use the OFLC Wage Search to confirm the prevailing wage for your specific SOC code and work location before accepting an offer.
Understand how EB-3 filing fits your current visa timeline
If you're on an H-1B or OPT, your employer can file the PERM and I-140 concurrently with your maintained status. Confirm with your employer whether they'll also file an I-485 for adjustment of status or require consular processing once your priority date becomes current.
Prepare a skills-based role description aligned with O*NET
PERM job descriptions must reflect what the position genuinely requires. Review the O*NET profile for Clinical Partner occupations so you can advise your employer on aligning the job posting with USCIS specialty occupation standards and DOL minimum requirements.

Find Clinical Partner JobsClinical Partner Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Do Clinical Partner roles qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Most Clinical Partner positions qualify under EB-3 as skilled workers or professionals, typically requiring at least a bachelor's degree or equivalent clinical training. Roles that require an advanced degree or demonstrate a national interest waiver argument may qualify under EB-2. Your employer's immigration counsel will determine the correct category based on the actual job requirements at the time of PERM filing.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for Clinical Partner roles?
Unlike the H-1B, which is temporary and subject to an annual lottery, an employment-based green card through PERM leads to permanent residency with no cap concerns at the EB-3 level for many nationalities. The tradeoff is timeline: PERM labor certification alone takes several months, and the full process from PERM to green card approval can span one to three years depending on your country of birth and visa backlog.
What does the PERM process look like for a Clinical Partner employer?
The employer must conduct a DOL-prescribed recruitment campaign, document that no qualified U.S. workers applied, and then submit a PERM application through the FLAG portal. If DOL certifies the application, the employer files an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. You can then file for adjustment of status or consular processing once your priority date is current per the Visa Bulletin.
How can I find Clinical Partner jobs that offer green card sponsorship?
Search specifically for employers with verified green card sponsorship history for clinical roles. Migrate Mate lets you filter Clinical Partner positions by employers who have filed PERM applications, so you're not applying to hospitals that only sponsor H-1B or have no immigration program in place. Targeting those employers directly shortens your search timeline considerably.
Can my Clinical Partner employer start the green card process while I'm on an H-1B or OPT?
Yes. Employers can initiate PERM and file the I-140 while you maintain valid H-1B or OPT status. USCIS allows concurrent I-485 filing once the I-140 is approved and your priority date is current. If you're on OPT approaching its end date, confirm your employer's timeline so your H-1B cap-gap or a timely extension keeps you authorized throughout the process.
