About Salesforce
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
Slack is redefining what it means to work — not just with other people, but with AI. As the multiplayer OS for AI, Slack is the only place where human and agent collaboration actually happens at scale. We're looking for a senior content strategist and writer who can make that story impossible to ignore.
About the Role
We are looking for a strategic, execution-oriented marketing leader to drive Slack's demand generation and pipeline goals through experiential and events marketing. This role sits at the intersection of field marketing, demand generation, and sales activation — and is responsible for ensuring Slack's presence, visibility, and measurable impact across Salesforce's global event portfolio.
This role requires a demand generation mindset, strong cross-functional partnership skills, and the ability to manage complex programs through partner organizations rather than a standalone events infrastructure. Successful candidates will need to deeply understand pipeline attainment, CRM and channel performance optimization to achieve targets while maintaining ROI thresholds. This leader takes a holistic view of Slack's event strategy and investments, driving well-documented plans and timelines while bringing together the teams and resources needed to capitalize on opportunities and close gaps across priority events. A key part of the role is advocating for Slack's brand within Salesforce events — preserving its uniqueness while strengthening its presence.
Responsibilities
- Own Slack's demand generation strategy across the Salesforce experiential marketing portfolio, including first-party and third-party events
- Serve as an integral Slack stakeholder and point of contact within Salesforce's Global Field Marketing and Strategic Events teams
- Develop and manage event-driven pipeline programs aligned to Slack's marketing pipeline targets, lead generation goals, and revenue priorities
- Partner with Salesforce and Slack Sales teams to activate accounts, drive customer nominations, and translate registration and participation into pipeline opportunity
- Define audience acquisition and activation strategies across owned and influenced channels, including pipeline impact, target account selection, registration strategy, onsite experiences, and follow-up sales outreach and marketing nurture programs
- Build measurement frameworks to track sourced and influenced pipeline, report performance and attainment against pipeline and revenue goals, and optimize event programming and investments based on performance against goals and ROI
- Collaborate with Slack campaigns, ABM, and demand generation teams to ensure programs are integrated into broader campaign motions
- Drive smart budget allocation and spend management across events, negotiating with Salesforce teams and external vendors to maximize resources
- Represent Slack's marketing ideas and needs within Salesforce's planning processes, ensuring Slack has appropriate presence, messaging, and activation support
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in demand generation, field marketing, or integrated marketing in B2B
- Proven track record driving pipeline through experiential programs, with demonstrated ability to tie activity to measurable revenue outcomes
- Experience executing experiential programs through partner organizations or shared marketing infrastructure in large organizations, not solely through a standalone, owned program
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across sales, marketing, and operations
- Deep familiarity with first-party and third-party event formats and the distinct strategies each requires
- Data-driven approach to program planning and performance measurement
- Comfort operating in fast-paced, matrixed environments with multiple competing priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience marketing within or alongside a large enterprise technology company (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft, Google, SAP)
- Familiarity with Salesforce's experiential and event portfolio, including Dreamforce and World Tour
- Experience with Business Insights tools (Tableau Preferred) and CRM-integrated marketing programs (Salesforce CRM preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to work across global markets and time zones

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as a Demand Generation Manager
Document your specialized marketing credentials early
Gather degree transcripts, performance data tied to pipeline and revenue outcomes, and any certifications before applying. PERM requires your employer to demonstrate your qualifications match a bona fide role, so clean documentation shortens the labor certification review.
Target employers with active PERM filing history
Search DOL OFLC disclosure data for employers who have filed PERM applications for marketing management roles. Demand generation sits between product marketing and sales ops, so filter for job titles like 'Marketing Manager' and 'Growth Manager' alongside the exact title.
Use Migrate Mate to filter green card sponsoring employers
Filter by employers with verified EB-2 and EB-3 filing history for demand generation and marketing roles. Migrate Mate surfaces this sponsorship data by role and employer, so you don't need to manually cross-reference OFLC disclosure files.
Clarify whether your role qualifies under EB-2 or EB-3
EB-2 requires the position to demand an advanced degree or show you have a bachelor's degree plus five or more years of progressive experience. EB-3 covers roles requiring a standard four-year degree. Ask the employer's immigration counsel which category they plan to file under before accepting an offer.
Negotiate the PERM start date into your offer letter
PERM labor certification can take six months to over a year at DOL, followed by I-140 adjudication at USCIS. Requesting that your employer begin the PERM process within your first year of employment protects you if you later want to change roles without losing your priority date.
Understand how prevailing wage affects your compensation
Your employer must pay the DOL prevailing wage for your specific demand generation role and work location. Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up Wage Level II or III rates for marketing managers in your metro area before evaluating whether an offer will clear the PERM requirement.
Green Card Demand Generation Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Demand Generation Manager role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Demand Generation Manager positions typically qualify for EB-3 when the role requires a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field. EB-2 applies when the position requires an advanced degree or when your employer can demonstrate the role demands graduate-level expertise. Your employer's immigration counsel determines which category fits the specific job description and your credentials.
How does PERM green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for this role?
H-1B visa is a temporary nonimmigrant status capped at 85,000 visas annually and subject to a lottery. PERM-based green card sponsorship leads to permanent residency with no annual cap at the EB-3 level for most countries. The PERM process takes longer upfront, often one to two years before visa availability, but there is no lottery and approval is not revoked if you maintain qualifying employment.
How do I find employers who will sponsor a green card for a Demand Generation Manager?
Use Migrate Mate to search for employers with verified EB-2 and EB-3 filing history specifically for marketing and demand generation roles. Employers who have sponsored PERM applications before are far more likely to have internal processes and immigration counsel in place, which reduces delays on your sponsorship timeline.
Can I switch employers after my PERM is filed without losing my place in line?
Once your I-140 petition has been approved and your priority date is more than 180 days old, you may be able to port your green card application to a new employer in the same or similar occupational classification under AC21 portability rules. Demand generation management generally falls under the same SOC category as marketing management, which can support a portability claim, but your new employer and immigration counsel must confirm the job is sufficiently similar before you resign.
What does the PERM labor certification process involve for a Demand Generation Manager role?
Your employer must conduct a DOL-supervised recruitment process to demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers are available for the role. This includes posting the position, conducting interviews, and documenting results. The employer then files the PERM application with DOL. The job duties and minimum requirements filed in PERM must accurately reflect the role, which means job descriptions used in PERM cannot be inflated to match your specific resume.
