Green Card FP&A Manager Jobs
FP&A Manager roles qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process, which requires employers to document recruitment efforts before filing an I-140 petition on your behalf. Finance planning and analysis positions meet specialty occupation standards, making employer-sponsored permanent residency a realistic path for qualified foreign professionals.

- Own end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A processes (e.g., budgeting/forecasting, Board reporting, BvA’s) for your areas of focus
- Own the administration and continued evolution of Pigment, our financial planning platform – from data model design and system integrations to building new forecast models and streamlining the ones already in place
- Collaborate with Finance peers to track performance metrics and KPIs to monitor business results and to drive stakeholder engagement and accountability
- Simplify, streamline, and automate FP&A processes, as well as make full use of forecasting and financial system capabilities that will allow us to continue to scale rapidly and globally
- Highlight strategic opportunities to improve the way we operate, increase revenue, or decrease costs

Align your credentials to EB-2 standards
An advanced degree in finance, accounting, or economics strengthens your EB-2 eligibility. If your foreign degree is a three-year bachelor's, a credential evaluation confirming U.S.-equivalent standing is essential before any employer files your I-140.
Target employers with active PERM filing history
Search the DOL's OFLC disclosure data for companies that have filed PERM applications under financial manager or FP&A-related SOC codes. Employers with a consistent PERM history have established internal processes, which shortens your sponsorship timeline significantly.
Search for sponsoring FP&A roles on Migrate Mate
Filter by green card sponsorship and FP&A Manager job titles on Migrate Mate to surface roles where employers have already committed to sponsoring permanent residency, so you're not negotiating sponsorship from scratch during the offer stage.
Understand the PERM recruitment documentation window
PERM requires your employer to run a mandatory recruitment period, typically 30 to 60 days, before filing. If you're already in the U.S. on H-1B visa status, your employer should start PERM well before your sixth year to preserve AC21 portability rights.
Use OFLC Wage Search to verify your prevailing wage tier
FP&A Manager roles can fall under different DOL wage levels depending on years of experience and supervisory scope. Checking the OFLC Wage Search before negotiations ensures your offered salary satisfies the prevailing wage requirement PERM mandates.
Prepare your O*NET occupation profile for employer conversations
Employers unfamiliar with sponsoring FP&A professionals often need guidance on which SOC code applies. Referencing the O*NET occupation profile for Financial Managers helps HR and immigration counsel select the correct classification for your PERM and I-140 filings.
Green Card FP&A Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
Do FP&A Manager roles qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
FP&A Manager positions typically qualify for both EB-2 and EB-3, depending on the employer's stated requirements. EB-2 applies when the role requires an advanced degree or equivalent; EB-3 covers positions requiring at least a bachelor's degree. Because most FP&A Manager job descriptions require a bachelor's in finance, accounting, or a related field, EB-3 is a straightforward path, while candidates with an MBA or master's degree are strong EB-2 candidates.
How does PERM green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for an FP&A Manager?
H-1B sponsorship is temporary and subject to an annual lottery cap, while PERM-based green card sponsorship leads to permanent residency with no cap concerns at the EB-3 level for most nationalities outside India and China. The PERM process also requires your employer to conduct formal recruitment and obtain DOL certification before filing the I-140 petition, making the overall timeline longer but the outcome permanent.
How long does the EB-2 or EB-3 green card process take for an FP&A Manager?
The PERM labor certification stage alone typically takes six to eighteen months once the employer files, depending on whether DOL selects the application for audit. After PERM approval, I-140 processing adds several more months. For applicants from countries without significant visa backlog, the full process from PERM filing to green card approval can range from roughly two to four years. Indian and Chinese nationals face substantially longer waits due to per-country priority date backlogs.
Where can I find FP&A Manager jobs that already offer green card sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically to surface roles where employers have green card sponsorship history, filtered by job title and visa type. Searching for FP&A Manager roles on Migrate Mate lets you focus only on companies that have already sponsored PERM applications, so your job search targets employers with a demonstrated willingness and infrastructure to sponsor permanent residency.
Can my employer start the PERM process while I'm still on H-1B status?
Yes, and starting PERM early is strategically important for H-1B holders in FP&A roles. If PERM is filed before your fifth year of H-1B status and the I-140 is approved, you can extend your H-1B in three-year increments under AC21 provisions while your green card case remains pending. Delaying PERM until after year five creates a harder deadline, so many FP&A professionals begin the process during their third or fourth H-1B year.
