Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship in Guest Services Agent
Document your hospitality credentials before applying
PERM requires your employer to prove you meet the job's stated minimum requirements at the time of hire. Gather your hospitality certificates, front-desk training records, and any property management system proficiency documentation before the process starts.
Search roles on Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers
Guest Services Agent positions vary widely in sponsorship willingness across property types. Use Migrate Mate to filter for employers with active green card filing history so you're not spending time on applications where sponsorship is unlikely.
Check prevailing wage before negotiating your offer
DOL sets a prevailing wage for Guest Services Agent roles by location, and your offered salary must meet or exceed it for PERM certification to succeed. Run your target market through the OFLC Wage Search before accepting or countering any offer.
Clarify sponsorship intent during the interview stage
Many hospitality employers are unfamiliar with PERM timelines for front-of-house roles. Ask directly whether the property has sponsored workers before and whether HR has worked with immigration counsel, so you avoid investing in an offer that stalls at filing.
Understand EB-3 priority date backlogs for your country
EB-3 has no annual cap on petitions, but per-country limits can create wait times for nationals of certain countries. Check the State Department's Visa Bulletin once your I-140 is approved to understand when your priority date will become current.

Find Guest Services Agent JobsGuest Services Agent Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Can a Guest Services Agent role qualify for EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Yes. Guest Services Agent positions typically qualify under the EB-3 skilled worker or professional category, provided the role requires at least two years of training or experience or a bachelor's degree. Your employer files a PERM labor certification with DOL first, then an I-140 petition with USCIS, and you proceed to adjustment of status or consular processing.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for this role?
The H-1B requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, which is difficult to establish for most Guest Services Agent positions. EB-3 green card sponsorship through PERM is designed for skilled workers and doesn't require specialty occupation status. There's also no annual lottery, so your petition isn't subject to random selection. The tradeoff is a longer overall timeline, often two to four years from PERM filing to a green card.
What does my employer actually have to do to sponsor my green card?
Your employer must complete DOL's PERM labor certification, which involves posting the job, documenting that no qualified U.S. workers were available, and certifying your offered wage meets DOL prevailing-wage standards. Once PERM is approved, they file an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS on your behalf. The employer bears most of the procedural and filing burden at these stages.
Where can I find Guest Services Agent jobs that offer green card sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you search specifically for Guest Services Agent roles at employers with verified green card sponsorship history, so you can focus your applications on properties and hotel groups that have actually completed the PERM process before. Generic job searches won't surface this sponsorship data reliably.
Does the prevailing wage requirement affect my chances of getting sponsored?
It can, because your employer must offer at least the DOL-determined prevailing wage for Guest Services Agent roles in your specific location for PERM certification to succeed. You can look up the applicable wage level using the OFLC Wage Search before committing to an offer. If an employer's budget falls below that threshold, the PERM application will be denied regardless of your qualifications.
