INTRODUCTION
At Skillsoft, we believe skills fuel growth. Our mission is to empower every organization and every learner to turn constant change into continuous growth. As part of the team, your skills will help organizations understand what skills they have, what they need next, and how to apply them in ways that drive real performance and progress.
As marketing evolves toward AI-powered workflows, rapidly maturing tools, and agentic systems working alongside humans, this role will ensure that emerging capabilities translate into real, repeatable value for marketers.
Skillsoft is seeking an experienced Sr. Marketing Operations Manager, Process + AI at Skillsoft, to develop and oversee the implementation of an agentic AI roadmap for the marketing organization; identifying, prioritizing, and scaling high-impact AI capabilities that improve how marketing plans, executes, and measures work. You will define what gets built, where it lives across the MarTech stack, and how it scales across teams and shapes how AI actually works for marketers day-to-day.
You will establish AI project governance as a core operating capability—creating the intake, prioritization, delivery, and measurement mechanisms that ensure AI initiatives are aligned to strategy, responsibly implemented, and adopted across teams. In parallel, you will design, refine, and govern marketing processes and the operating model that connects people, workflows, tools, and data into a scalable, continuously improving system. You will balance rapid time-to-impact with a long-term strategic approach, ensuring today's progress builds momentum without constraining future possibilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
AI Use Case Strategy & Roadmap:
- Own the marketing agentic AI roadmap end-to-end—from opportunity discovery and business case development through pilot, implementation, scaling, and ongoing optimization in partnership with business stakeholders.
- Identify, define, and shape the highest-priority AI use cases for marketing—translating real marketing needs into clear capability requirements, including inputs, outputs, constraints, and success criteria.
- Define and apply frameworks for assessing the scaled value and impact of AI capabilities across the marketing organization.
- Distinguish between highly controlled, workflow-driven AI use cases and more exploratory applications, guiding how each should be implemented and governed across the tech stack.
Solutions Framing & Technical Partnership:
- Act as the strategic bridge between marketing teams and internal/external technical partners—including IT, Commercial Operations, Sales, and Legal—to drive shared understanding and sustain execution momentum.
- Pressure-test proposed solutions for feasibility, durability, and long-term relevance as AI capabilities evolve.
- Stay ahead of AI innovations and identify how marketing thoughtfully adopts new capabilities, while maintaining a feedback loop with internal stakeholders to influence the marketing agentic roadmap direction where appropriate.
Process Design & Governance:
- Design, document, and govern marketing processes and standards (work intake, planning, campaign execution, measurement, and tooling workflows), identifying processes that can migrate to AI and driving continuous improvement and consistent adoption across teams.
- Establish and run AI project governance for marketing (intake, prioritization, resourcing, stage gates, risk/compliance reviews, and success metrics) to ensure initiatives deliver measurable business value.
- Own documentation and lifecycle management for marketing AI and operational processes (use cases, controls, data inputs/outputs, change logs, and performance reporting) to keep systems compliant and operationally sound.
Change Management & Enablement:
- Champion change management, enablement, and adoption for new agentic capabilities and process changes through training, communications, playbooks, workshops, and stakeholder engagement.
- Shape AI-powered workflows that feel intuitive, purposeful, and trusted by marketers—designing for adoption, not just technical possibility.
- Develop playbooks, enablement materials, and working examples that help teams understand how and when to use AI effectively.
- Establish feedback loops with end users to bring the internal customer perspective to planning, implementation, and optimization.
Future-Facing Perspective:
- Maintain a forward-looking view of emerging AI capabilities—particularly as agentic systems, skills-based orchestration, and new automation paradigms mature.
- Exercise sound judgment about when new capabilities are ready to be tested and applied, bringing a long-term perspective to near-term decisions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of professional experience in marketing operations with a focus on process and technology with a Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in marketing operations, business systems, process optimization, agent delivery, and governance—preferably in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Strong understanding of how marketing teams practically work—and where friction, inefficiency, or opportunity exists within marketing technology stacks, system integration, and workflow design.
- Prior experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (fka Pardot), Asana, HockeyStack, and/or 6Sense all desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to translate between business needs and technical teams by simplifying complexity, creating scalable processes, and influencing cross-functional stakeholders without needing to be the hands-on implementer.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity, with the judgment to know when precision and control are required versus more open-ended, exploratory solutions.
- Curiosity and confidence to explore new technologies—especially agentic AI and automation—including experience building roadmaps, prioritizing use cases, and partnering to deliver AI initiatives responsibly.
- Recent experience establishing lightweight governance models for AI/MarTech work (intake, stage gates, measurement, and stakeholder alignment) to drive clarity, accountability, and adoption.
- Experience in change management and guiding teams through transitions with clear communication and support to ensure successful adoption of new tools and processes.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to clarify, align, and influence across disciplines, and to convey complex technical concepts persuasively to non-technical audiences.
COMPENSATION
- Target base salary range for this job requisition is anticipated to be approximately $145,000- $155,000 annualized.
- We also offer Enterprise benefits including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, and paid time off.
The company may modify salaries, salary ranges and/or Pay Plans from time to time as it deems necessary.
Skillsoft is an equal opportunity employer. We evaluate qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, genetic information, and other legally protected categories.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as a Marketing Operations Manager
Document your martech stack expertise early
PERM requires your employer to define a specific job description tied to your credentials. Compile written proof of your hands-on work with platforms like Salesforce, Marketo, or HubSpot before your employer drafts the labor certification job requirements.
Target employers with dedicated immigration programs
Mid-to-large B2B SaaS and enterprise software companies routinely sponsor Marketing Operations Managers because the role requires specialized technical skills that satisfy PERM's specialty occupation documentation standards. Focus your search on employers with in-house HR legal teams.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified sponsoring employers
Search for Marketing Operations Manager roles filtered by green card sponsorship history on Migrate Mate. Seeing which employers have filed PERM certifications for similar roles tells you where sponsorship is an established practice, not a first-time ask.
Confirm EB-2 versus EB-3 fit before accepting an offer
If your role requires a master's degree or you qualify through a National Interest Waiver, EB-2 can shorten your wait significantly depending on your country of birth. Clarify this distinction with your prospective employer before the PERM job description is finalized.
Understand the PERM recruitment audit trail
DOL requires employers to run specific recruitment steps, including job postings and internal notices, before certifying that no qualified U.S. worker is available. Ask your employer which recruitment steps they plan to use so you're not surprised if PERM takes longer due to an audit.
Check prevailing wage requirements using OFLC Wage Search
Your employer must pay at least the DOL-certified prevailing wage for your job title and location before PERM can be approved. Look up the wage level for Marketing Operations Manager in your metro area using OFLC Wage Search so you can negotiate your offer with full context.

Find Marketing Operations Manager JobsMarketing Operations Manager Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Marketing Operations Manager role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Most Marketing Operations Manager positions qualify under EB-3 as skilled workers requiring at least a bachelor's degree. If the role requires a master's degree or your employer can document an advanced-degree requirement tied to the position, EB-2 is also viable. The distinction matters mainly for applicants born in India or China, where EB-2 priority dates are significantly closer to current than EB-3.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for this role?
H-1B is temporary status, capped annually, and subject to a lottery for most employers. Green card sponsorship through PERM leads to permanent residency with no renewal requirement. For Marketing Operations Managers, the PERM process adds a DOL recruitment phase before your employer can file the I-140 petition, making the overall timeline longer but the outcome permanent. There's no annual cap concern at the EB-3 level for most nationalities.
How long does the PERM green card process take for a Marketing Operations Manager?
Plan for one to three years from PERM filing to receiving your green card, assuming your priority date is current. DOL processing for PERM currently runs several months, followed by USCIS adjudication of the I-140 petition and then adjustment of status or consular processing. Applicants born in India or China face additional wait time due to per-country annual limits.
Where can I find Marketing Operations Manager jobs that offer green card sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you search specifically for Marketing Operations Manager roles where the employer has a documented history of PERM-based green card sponsorship. That's a more reliable signal than a generic 'visa sponsorship available' checkbox, because it tells you the employer has already navigated the DOL certification process for a comparable role.
Can my employer start the PERM process while I'm on an H-1B or OPT?
Yes. Employers can file PERM on your behalf regardless of your current visa status, as long as you're authorized to work in the U.S. and the job offer is for a permanent, full-time position. Starting PERM early while you're on H-1B is common practice because it locks in your priority date before any status complications arise. USCIS requires that you be able to start the sponsored role by the time your green card is approved.
