Green Card Network Architect Jobs
Network Architect roles qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process, which permanently ties your status to a U.S. employer rather than a temporary visa. Employers filing for network architects must document prevailing wage compliance and demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers are available for the position.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship in Network Architect
Document your specialty occupation credentials early
Gather transcripts, professional certifications (CCIE, CCNP, JNCIE), and letters confirming your network architecture responsibilities before approaching employers. PERM audits frequently scrutinize whether your credentials match the advertised minimum requirements.
Target employers with active PERM filing history
Search DOL OFLC disclosure data for companies that have filed PERM applications under SOC code 15-1241. Employers already running the process understand the timeline and are far less likely to withdraw sponsorship mid-application.
Use Migrate Mate to filter sponsoring employers
Search Migrate Mate to find network architect roles at employers with verified green card sponsorship history. Filtering by EB-2 or EB-3 category saves weeks of manual OFLC research and connects you directly to active openings.
Negotiate your offer letter before PERM is filed
Your job duties in the offer letter become the basis for the PERM job description. If the description is too narrow or lists certifications you don't currently hold, DOL can reject the application, so align wording to your actual role before filing begins.
Check the prevailing wage before your interview
Run the OFLC Wage Search for your target metro area and SOC code 15-1241 before salary discussions. If an employer's offer falls below the DOL prevailing wage for your level, PERM certification will fail regardless of your qualifications.
Understand the EB-2 versus EB-3 category decision
If your role requires only a bachelor's degree, the employer will typically file under EB-3. Roles requiring a master's or equivalent open EB-2 eligibility, which can affect priority date movement for applicants from oversubscribed countries. Clarify the intended category before your employer begins the PERM recruitment.
Green Card Network Architect: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Network Architect role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship?
Most Network Architect positions qualify for EB-3 when the job requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Roles requiring a master's degree or equivalent can qualify for EB-2. The category depends on what the employer documents as the minimum requirement in the PERM labor certification, not your personal credentials.
How does green card sponsorship for Network Architects differ from H-1B sponsorship?
Green card sponsorship through PERM leads to permanent residency, while H-1B visa is a temporary status requiring renewal and tied to annual lottery selection. EB-3 green card filings have no annual cap at the petition level, though visa number availability varies by country of birth. The overall timeline is longer, often three to five years for most nationalities, but the outcome is permanent.
What does the PERM process look like for a Network Architect position?
Your employer files a prevailing wage determination request with DOL, completes a mandatory recruitment period to confirm no qualified U.S. workers are available, then submits the PERM application through the OFLC FLAG system. USCIS reviews the resulting I-140 petition, and you file I-485 to adjust status once a visa number is current. Standard PERM processing runs six to twelve months before the I-140 stage.
Where can I find Network Architect jobs with green card sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you search Network Architect openings filtered by employers with active EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship history. Because sponsorship willingness varies significantly by employer size and industry, filtering by verified PERM filing history is far more efficient than sorting through general job listings.
Can I change employers after my PERM is filed but before my green card is approved?
Portability rules under AC21 allow you to change to a same or similar occupation once your I-485 has been pending for 180 days or more. Network architect roles are broadly classified under SOC 15-1241, so a move to a comparable employer in a similar role generally qualifies. Confirm the job duties match closely before changing, as USCIS can still issue a request for evidence on portability claims.
