Job Purpose or Objective(s): Supports all Network LAN/WAN/Security/VoIP by designing needed data connectivity. The Network Engineer will work with other Network Engineers, Network System Administrators, and 3rd party vendors; stay up to date on new solutions and recommend ways that can better support CNO. You will report to the Network Systems Manager.
Primary Tasks:
- Resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways with a full understanding of area of specialization.
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Aligns basic projects and work to achieve departmental goals. Can articulate standard operational challenges in an understandable way internally and externally.
- Significant ability to influence department on a wide range of issues pertaining to specialty. Contributes to overall impact toward departmental goals.
- Troubleshoot Layer 3 solutions using EIGRP, OSPF, BGP or other routing protocols. In addition, plan and design IP Schema for Enterprise.
- Configure multiple Network devices (FW, Routers, Switches, Load Balancer, etc.)
- Troubleshoot and implement LAN, WLAN and SDWAN solutions.
- Configure Firewalls within the CNO environment when required.
- Receives little instruction on day-to-day work, and general instruction on new assignments.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.

- Associate's degree
- 5 years related work experience
- CCNA certification
- 5+ years professional experience of Cisco hardware support
- 5+ years supporting Cisco or other vendors switches, routers, or Firewalls
