Oracle Developer Green Card Jobs
Oracle Developer roles qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process, which requires employers to document that no qualified U.S. worker is available before filing an I-140 immigrant petition on your behalf. Database-specialized roles with PL/SQL, Oracle APEX, or RAC experience typically satisfy the specialty occupation credential standard.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as an Oracle Developer
Align your credentials to PERM job requirements
PERM requires your degree and experience to match the employer's minimum requirements exactly. A mismatch between your foreign credentials and the posted job description is the most common reason PERM audits slow down Oracle Developer cases.
Target employers with active PERM filing history
Search DOL OFLC disclosure data for Oracle Developer or Database Developer LCA filings to identify companies that have sponsored this role before. Prior PERM activity signals an established immigration process, not just a hiring manager's promise.
Distinguish EB-2 from EB-3 before you apply
EB-2 requires a master's degree or bachelor's degree plus five years of progressive Oracle experience. If your credentials fit EB-2, you may reach a priority date faster than EB-3, particularly for nationals from countries without significant PERM backlogs.
Use Migrate Mate to filter green card sponsoring jobs
Search for Oracle Developer roles on Migrate Mate, which surfaces employers with verified EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship history. Filter by role and location to skip outreach to employers who have never filed a PERM for this occupation.
Confirm your employer's prevailing wage before the offer stage
DOL requires your offered salary to meet the prevailing wage for your Oracle Developer role in the specific work location. Run your job title and metro area through the OFLC Wage Search before accepting an offer to verify compliance and avoid wage-related PERM denials.
Request concurrent I-140 and I-485 filing when priority dates allow
If your PERM-based priority date is current when your I-140 is approved, you can file for adjustment of status immediately rather than waiting. Ask your employer's immigration counsel whether concurrent filing applies to your country of birth and preference category.

Find Oracle Developer JobsOracle Developer Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does an Oracle Developer role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Oracle Developer positions typically qualify for both EB-2 and EB-3 depending on the employer's stated requirements. EB-2 requires a master's degree or a bachelor's degree with at least five years of specialized experience in areas like PL/SQL, Oracle APEX, or Oracle RAC. EB-3 covers roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree. The employer defines the minimum requirements in the PERM job description, which then becomes binding throughout the green card process.
How does the PERM green card process differ from H-1B sponsorship for Oracle Developers?
H-1B grants temporary work authorization for up to six years and is subject to an annual lottery for cap-subject petitions. PERM-based green card sponsorship is a permanent immigration pathway with no annual lottery. The EB-3 category has no cap on petitions filed, though priority date backlogs exist for certain nationalities. The PERM process also requires the employer to conduct a formal recruitment campaign to demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers were available before sponsoring a foreign Oracle Developer.
How long does the green card process typically take for an Oracle Developer?
The PERM audit and certification stage alone can take six to eighteen months at DOL. After PERM approval, the employer files an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. If your priority date is current for your country of birth, adjustment of status or consular processing can follow within months. Nationals from India and China face longer waits due to priority date backlogs in EB-2 and EB-3 categories, sometimes extending several years.
What credentials should I document before an Oracle Developer PERM is filed?
Gather official transcripts for any degree cited in the PERM job description, along with reference letters that specifically describe your PL/SQL, Oracle Database administration, or application development work. Foreign degrees may require a credential evaluation to establish U.S. equivalency. If your experience substitutes for a degree under the employer's stated requirements, each year of qualifying experience must be clearly documented in recommendation letters that align with the O*NET occupation profile for Oracle Developers.
How can I find Oracle Developer jobs where employers are already prepared to sponsor a green card?
Use Migrate Mate to search Oracle Developer roles filtered by EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship history. Employers who have completed PERM filings before are significantly more prepared for the documentation, recruitment, and DOL audit requirements than those sponsoring for the first time. Targeting companies with prior green card sponsorship activity in this occupation reduces delays caused by employers learning the PERM process from scratch after you accept an offer.
