Green Card Portfolio Analyst Jobs
Portfolio Analyst roles qualify for employment-based green card sponsorship under EB-2 for advanced-degree professionals and EB-3 for skilled workers. Employers file PERM labor certification with DOL before sponsoring permanent residency, making this a direct path to a U.S. green card for qualified finance professionals.

Department Overview
The Global Product Organization (GPO) is at the center of defining the future of safety and security technologies. This role sits within the Strategic Portfolio Management team of the Unified Communications (UC) Group. We are unifying siloed voice and data networks with an ecosystem providing actionable intelligence for our end users.
Job Description
We are seeking a data-driven team member to advance portfolio growth strategies. This position focuses exclusively on measuring, tracking, and optimizing business outcomes and commercialization efforts. Operating at the intersection of Product, Go-To-Market (GTM), and Revenue Operations, you will build the analytical models and track the on-time status of complex monetization initiatives to ensure our organization is fully equipped to capture market value.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monetization & Product Performance
- Conduct a quantitative analysis of historical portfolio data at a SKU level to model optimal pricing deltas for a tiered packaging framework.
- End-To-End Growth Modeling: Build and maintain quantitative growth models that track the interconnected loops of user acquisition, retention, and monetization.
- Willingness to Pay (WTP) Quantification: Conduct advanced behavioral monetization research to quantify customer price thresholds for premium features.
- Core Metric Governance: Track the financial impact of growth initiatives against core business KPIs, maintaining direct accountability for monitoring metrics to include for example, Net New ARR and SaaS benchmarks, Cloud Cost drivers, LTV:CAC ratios, and CAC Payback Periods.
Strategic Initiatives
- Roadblock Identification & Proactive Escalation: Serve as an early-warning system by monitoring KPIs to identify current roadblocks, latent risks, and resource bottlenecks. Rapidly escalate critical impacts to timelines and revenue forecasts, surfacing necessary escalation points directly to executive leadership to prevent downstream delays.
- Act as the central hub for tracking the status and progress of multiple cross-organizational growth initiatives. Manage and deliver consistent updates regarding the on-time status of commercial initiatives, ensuring seamless coordination across Product, Go-To-Market (GTM), Marketing, and Operations stakeholders.
- Dashboard Reporting: Translate complex portfolio data into actionable executive updates. Move beyond granular task lists by utilizing best-in-class reporting standards, delivering "three headlines, a trend chart, and the specific decisions needed" to facilitate rapid leadership intervention. Design scalable dashboards that act as a "real-time compass" of overall project health and initiative status.
Communication & Change Management
- You will help how data is consumed by our leadership. You will employ best-in-class communication frameworks, like the Minto Pyramid Principle, to deliver data-backed recommendations that instantly answer the "so what?" for busy executives.
- Driving Behavioral Change: You recognize only a small fraction of analytical impact comes from the technology itself. You will pioneer the 10-20-70 rule, acknowledging that 70% of your success relies on guiding the people, processes, and behavioral changes necessary to sustain long-term value.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A foundational background in a discipline that blends quantitative rigor with strategic thinking (e.g., Economics, Business Analytics, Financial Planning & Analysis, Data Science, Machine Learning, or specialized Strategy Consulting).
- Technical Fluency: Deep expertise in SQL and advanced analytical programming (Python/R) for complex data manipulation, awareness and regular utilization of AI tools, statistical testing, and predictive modeling.
- Proficiency in data visualization platforms (Tableau/Power BI).
- Understanding of financial cost models and business plans.
- Demonstrated capability in managing complex cross-functional relationships.
- Proven experience bridging the gap between technical data infrastructures and high-level executive strategy.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as a Portfolio Analyst
Document your CFA or advanced degree early
PERM requires your employer to verify your qualifications match the job's minimum requirements. Get official transcripts, degree equivalency evaluations, and professional certifications like CFA or CAIA authenticated before your employer starts the labor certification filing.
Target asset managers with PERM filing history
Search DOL OFLC disclosure data via OFLC Wage Search to identify asset managers, insurance companies, and pension funds that have filed PERM labor certifications for Portfolio Analyst roles. Prior filings signal an employer already understands the sponsorship process.
Clarify the EB-2 versus EB-3 route before accepting an offer
Ask your prospective employer whether they'll sponsor you under EB-2 or EB-3. EB-2 requires a master's degree or equivalent, while EB-3 covers bachelor's-level roles. The category affects your priority date and wait time, especially if you're from India or China.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers
Filter Portfolio Analyst jobs by green card sponsorship history using Migrate Mate. You can identify which financial firms have sponsored similar roles through PERM, helping you focus applications on employers already familiar with the EB-2 and EB-3 process.
Understand the prevailing wage before salary negotiations
Your employer must pay at least the DOL prevailing wage for your Portfolio Analyst role and work location. Look up the applicable wage level using OFLC Wage Search so you can verify your offer meets PERM requirements before your employer files.
Prepare for the PERM recruitment audit window
DOL requires employers to conduct good-faith recruitment before filing PERM, and audit risk is real. Your employer must show no qualified U.S. workers were available. Make sure your role description in the job posting accurately reflects your actual duties and the required credentials.
Green Card Portfolio Analyst: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Portfolio Analyst role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Portfolio Analyst roles can qualify under both EB-2 and EB-3. EB-2 applies when the position requires a master's degree or when you hold a bachelor's degree plus five or more years of progressive experience in investment analysis or portfolio management. EB-3 covers roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree. Your employer defines the minimum requirements in the PERM labor certification, which determines the category.
How does PERM green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for Portfolio Analysts?
H-1B visa is a temporary nonimmigrant visa with an annual cap and lottery, granting three-year periods of authorized work. PERM-based green card sponsorship is a permanent immigration pathway with no annual cap at the EB-3 level for most countries outside India and China. The PERM process takes longer overall, typically two to four years from filing to a green card, but the outcome is lawful permanent residency rather than temporary status subject to renewal.
How long does the green card process take for a Portfolio Analyst sponsored by an employer?
The timeline has three stages: PERM labor certification with DOL usually takes six to eighteen months, I-140 petition approval with USCIS takes another six to twelve months under standard processing, and the final adjustment of status or consular processing depends on your priority date and country of birth. Candidates from most countries outside India and China can complete the full process in two to four years.
How can I find Portfolio Analyst jobs where the employer will sponsor a green card?
Use Migrate Mate to search Portfolio Analyst roles filtered by employers with a confirmed green card sponsorship history. This lets you focus on firms that have filed PERM labor certifications for similar finance roles, rather than spending time on applications where sponsorship is uncertain. You can also cross-reference OFLC disclosure data to verify a company's PERM filing activity directly.
Can my employer start the PERM process while I'm on an H-1B visa?
Yes, and starting early is worth doing. PERM is filed by the employer and is independent of your current visa status. Employers can begin the PERM recruitment and filing process while you hold H-1B status. If your I-140 is approved and your priority date is current, you can file for adjustment of status while maintaining authorized work status. USCIS also allows H-1B extensions beyond the standard six-year cap once your I-140 is approved and your priority date is within one year.
