Green Card Analytics Engineer Jobs
Analytics Engineer roles qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process, which requires your employer to document that no qualified U.S. worker is available for the position. Most Analytics Engineer openings sit within the computer and mathematical occupations category, supporting a strong specialty occupation argument for sponsorship.

About the Role
Nature's Sunshine is entering an ambitious new phase of growth, and data will play a central role in how the company scales. As part of that investment, we are building a new Enterprise Data & Analytics function to unlock trusted data, sharpen decision-making, and help teams improve business performance.
As an Analytics Engineer, you will build and maintain analytics assets that turn business logic into reliable, reusable data products. Your work will include dimensional models, trusted datasets, governed metrics, and semantic layers that reporting, analytics, and business teams can confidently use.
This is not a traditional reporting role, and it is not primarily a pipeline engineering role. You will work in the layer where business logic becomes reusable analytics infrastructure: models, metrics, semantic layers, and trusted datasets.
You will partner with business stakeholders, BI developers, analysts, and data team members to clarify requirements, improve metric consistency, and build assets that are reliable, documented, and maintainable. Success in this role will be measured by adoption, consistency, trust, and maintainability - not output volume.
- Build and maintain dimensional models, reusable datasets, and semantic layers for reporting, analytics, and decision-making.
- Translate business logic into clear, tested, well-documented data structures.
- Support KPI, metric, calculation, and reusable business logic definition with stakeholders and data team members.
- Make sound modeling decisions across grain, relationships, performance, usability, governance, and maintainability for assigned work.
- Partner with business users, analysts, BI developers, and senior data team members to turn business questions into durable analytics solutions.
- Follow and contribute to analytics development standards, including naming conventions, documentation, certification, reusable measures, and change control.
- Improve trust in reporting by reducing duplicated logic, documenting definitions, and making shared metrics easier to understand and maintain.
- Use AI-assisted workflows to improve development speed, documentation, testing, and data quality while applying judgment to protect trust in the data.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in analytics engineering, BI engineering, data modeling, or a closely related analytics role.
- Strong SQL skills, including experience building, testing, and maintaining analytical transformations.
- Solid understanding of dimensional modeling, including facts, dimensions, grain, relationships, and conformed dimensions.
- Experience building data models, semantic layers, BI models, or trusted datasets used for reporting and analysis.
- Ability to translate business requirements into clear, maintainable data structures.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Good judgment in balancing speed, quality, performance, usability, governance, and maintainability.
- Experience working in a modern analytics platform such as Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or similar.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
- Power BI experience, including DAX, relationships, performance optimization, or semantic model development.
- Experience with Python, data quality testing, version control, CI/CD, or other practices that improve analytics engineering reliability.
- Experience improving reporting trust through clearer metric definitions, documented business logic, or reusable data models.
- Experience using AI-assisted development workflows responsibly.
Who Will Thrive in This Role
You will thrive here if you enjoy turning messy business logic into trusted, reusable data products. You should be comfortable working through ambiguity, asking good questions, challenging unclear requirements, and balancing practical delivery with long-term maintainability.
You should be motivated by building durable analytics assets that improve how the business operates, not just answering one-off reporting requests.

Translate your credentials into PERM language
Your degree field matters more than your job title in a PERM filing. A computer science or statistics degree maps cleanly to Analytics Engineer requirements; an adjacent field like physics or economics may need a credential evaluation and supporting documentation to satisfy DOL's minimum requirements.
Target companies with active PERM filing history
Search the DOL's OFLC disclosure data for employers who have previously filed PERM applications under analytics or data engineering job categories. A company with recent PERM approvals in your field has already built the internal process and is far less likely to stall your case.
Find sponsoring Analytics Engineer jobs on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Analytics Engineer roles by employers with documented green card filing history. This cuts out the guesswork of cold-applying to companies that haven't committed to EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship before.
Clarify the prevailing wage tier before accepting an offer
Ask your prospective employer which wage level they intend to use on the PERM application. OFLC Wage Search shows four tiers; being placed at Level I while your actual duties align with Level III can create audit risk and delay your I-140 approval.
Negotiate the green card clause into your offer letter
PERM sponsorship commitments rarely appear in standard offer letters. Before signing, confirm in writing that the employer will initiate PERM within a defined timeframe, cover filing fees, and continue sponsorship through the I-140 stage even if your role or manager changes.
Use O*NET to align your job description with PERM requirements
The Analytics Engineer occupation profile in O*NET lists specific tasks, tools, and knowledge domains that DOL expects to see reflected in your PERM job description. Gaps between what you actually do and what the filing states are a common source of audit triggers.
Green Card Analytics Engineer: Frequently Asked Questions
Does an Analytics Engineer role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship?
Analytics Engineer positions typically qualify for both EB-2 and EB-3, depending on the employer's stated minimum requirements. EB-2 applies when the role requires an advanced degree or the candidate has a bachelor's degree plus five or more years of progressive experience. EB-3 covers professionals with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Your employer's PERM job description determines which category applies, not your personal credentials alone.
How does PERM green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for Analytics Engineers?
The H-1B visa is a temporary work visa subject to an annual lottery, while PERM leads to permanent residency with no annual cap at the EB-3 level for most countries outside India and China. The PERM process is longer, typically 18 to 36 months from initiation to I-140 approval, but it locks in a priority date and ultimately results in a green card rather than a visa you must renew. Many Analytics Engineers pursue both simultaneously.
How can I find Analytics Engineer jobs with green card sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you search Analytics Engineer roles filtered by employers with verified PERM and I-140 filing history, so you're applying to companies that have already committed to green card sponsorship rather than hoping the topic comes up during negotiations. Filtering by employer filing activity significantly narrows the field to realistic opportunities.
What happens to my PERM case if I change jobs before the green card is approved?
If you leave before your I-140 is approved, the PERM certification is tied to the sponsoring employer and does not transfer. After I-140 approval, portability rules under AC21 allow you to change employers once your adjustment of status application has been pending for 180 days, provided the new role is in the same or similar occupational classification as the sponsored position.
Can an employer require me to repay PERM filing costs if I resign?
DOL regulations prohibit employers from passing PERM-related attorney and filing fees to the sponsored employee, either directly or through a repayment clause triggered by resignation. If your offer letter or employment agreement contains a clawback provision for green card costs, that clause may violate DOL rules. USCIS and DOL both treat these costs as an employer obligation under the sponsorship framework.
