INTRODUCTION
We’re looking for a Data, Analytics & AI Product Manager to support strategy, roadmap, and delivery of our enterprise data products — built on Snowflake as our cloud data platform and Tableau as our primary analytics and visualization layer — and to lead the productization of AI and machine learning capabilities across the business.
You’ll partner with stakeholders across Commercial, Supply Chain, Product, Finance, and Operations to turn raw data into decision-ready insights and intelligent experiences. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, data engineering, analytics, and applied AI. You’ll define what gets built, why it matters, and how success is measured — and you’ll champion the responsible adoption of AI to accelerate how Specialized runs and grows.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the product roadmap for our Snowflake-based data platform, Tableau analytics ecosystem, and AI/ML product portfolio (including GenAI use cases, predictive models, and embedded intelligence).
- Translate business needs into data and AI products — Tableau dashboards, Snowflake data marts and semantic models, ML-driven forecasts, recommendation engines, and GenAI assistants — by deeply understanding stakeholder workflows and decision points.
- Lead AI product strategy — identify high-value AI/ML opportunities, define use cases, partner with data science and engineering on model selection, and own the path from prototype to production.
- Define and prioritize the backlog for data engineering, analytics, and AI/ML teams, balancing strategic initiatives, technical debt, and reactive requests.
- Partner with data engineering and platform teams on Snowflake architecture decisions — warehouse sizing, cost governance, data sharing, role-based access, and Snowpark / Cortex adoption.
- Drive Tableau as the standard analytics experience — establish certified content, governed self-service patterns, performance standards, and adoption playbooks.
- Establish data and AI product standards — naming, documentation, SLAs, certification levels, model monitoring, evaluation criteria, and responsible AI guardrails.
- Champion data quality, governance, and AI safety in partnership with the data governance function — data contracts, master data alignment, model bias review, and human-in-the-loop design.
- Collaborate with PLM, ERP, and commercial system owners to ensure data and AI products integrate cleanly with core operational platforms.
- Drive adoption and measure impact — usage analytics in Tableau and Snowflake, AI model performance, and business outcomes tied to each product.
- Communicate roadmap, progress, and value to leadership and the broader business.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- 5+ years of product management experience, with 3+ focused on data, analytics, or AI/ML products.
- Demonstrated experience shipping at least one AI or ML product to production — predictive analytics, NLP, recommendation systems, or GenAI applications.
- Working knowledge of modern AI/ML concepts: model lifecycle, evaluation, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and responsible AI principles.
- Strong working knowledge of modern data stacks — cloud data warehouses, ELT tooling (dbt, Fivetran, or similar), semantic layers, and orchestration.
- Experience writing requirements that bridge business intent and technical implementation using Jira and Confluence.
- Excellent stakeholder management across executive, functional, and technical audiences.
- Proven ability to prioritize ruthlessly in a high-demand, multi-stakeholder environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Snowflake Cortex, Snowpark, or native AI/ML features on Snowflake.
- Familiarity with Tableau Pulse, Tableau AI, or embedded analytics patterns.
- Experience integrating LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI) into business applications.
- Background in consumer products, retail, manufacturing, or supply chain domains.
- Familiarity with master data management, data governance frameworks, and data mesh / data product principles.
- Background working with PLM, ERP (SAP, Oracle, or similar), or commercial platforms (Salesforce, e-commerce).
- Agile / Scrum certification or equivalent experience.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship in Data And Analytics
Translate your credentials into PERM language
PERM job requirements must match your actual qualifications exactly. If your degree is in statistics or computer science, confirm the employer's minimum requirements reflect that field specifically, not a broad "related discipline" that weakens the prevailing-wage and specialty-occupation case.
Target employers with active EB-2 and EB-3 filings
Search for data and analytics roles at companies with a documented history of PERM filings. Use Migrate Mate to filter green-card-sponsoring employers by role type, so you're only pursuing opportunities where the sponsorship infrastructure already exists.
Verify your role's prevailing wage tier early
Data analyst and data engineer roles span DOL wage levels 1 through 4. Use the OFLC Wage Search to check the prevailing wage for your specific SOC code and work location before accepting an offer, since a below-level salary blocks PERM certification.
Distinguish EB-2 from EB-3 before your job search
EB-2 requires a master's degree or a bachelor's plus five years of progressive experience in data or analytics. EB-3 covers roles requiring a bachelor's degree. Knowing which category fits your background helps you negotiate the right job description with a sponsoring employer from the start.
Request a clear sponsorship timeline from the employer
PERM recruitment, DOL processing, I-140 adjudication, and adjustment of status can span two to four years for many nationalities. Ask hiring managers directly whether the company starts PERM at the offer stage or after a waiting period, since some employers require one to three years of tenure first.
Align your O*NET profile to the job posting
USCIS and DOL evaluators reference O*NET when assessing whether a data analytics role qualifies as a specialty occupation. Cross-check the job description against the O*NET occupation profile for your specific role to identify any gaps before the employer submits the PERM application.
Green Card Data And Analytics: Frequently Asked Questions
Do data and analytics roles qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Both categories apply, depending on your qualifications and the specific role. EB-2 covers data professionals with a master's degree or a bachelor's degree plus five years of progressive, specialized experience. EB-3 covers skilled workers and professionals whose positions require at least a bachelor's degree. Data engineering, business intelligence, and machine learning roles regularly qualify under either category through the PERM labor certification process.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for data and analytics professionals?
The green card route through PERM and I-140 leads to permanent residency, while the H-1B visa is a temporary status requiring renewal every three years. PERM has no annual numerical cap at the EB-3 level for most nationalities, so workers from lower-demand countries don't face lottery uncertainty. The tradeoff is time: PERM recruitment and DOL processing alone can take six to twelve months before the I-140 is even filed.
Where can I find data and analytics employers that actively sponsor green cards?
Use Migrate Mate to search for data and analytics roles filtered by employers with active green card sponsorship history. This saves significant time compared to applying broadly and discovering sponsorship availability only after an offer is extended, which is a common and costly delay for international candidates in this field.
What does the PERM process specifically require for a data analyst or data scientist role?
The employer must conduct a DOL-supervised recruitment process to demonstrate no qualified U.S. worker is available for the specific position. The job requirements documented in the PERM application must match your actual credentials precisely, including degree field and years of experience. DOL will assess prevailing wage compliance using the SOC code assigned to the role, so the employer's offered salary must meet the applicable wage level before certification is granted.
Can my employer start PERM while I am on H-1B or OPT status?
Yes. PERM is a separate DOL process that can run concurrently with any valid work authorization status. Many data and analytics professionals begin PERM while on H-1B, allowing the green card timeline to progress in parallel. If you're on OPT, your employer can file PERM on your behalf as long as a bona fide permanent job offer exists, though adjustment of status typically requires a different underlying status when that step is reached.
