Working with Real HART: Since the pandemic, we have adapted to how our people told us they want to work. We have office locations in cities in the US, UK, and Europe with many employees and clients that serve as hubs where and when they need us. For employees who are within an hour of one of our offices, we expect attendance in the office two days per week, either at a Real Chemistry office or onsite with clients. We are also actively opening new office locations, so if one opens near you, our Real HART policy will apply. We are not looking for attendance for the sake of attendance but believe that the opportunity to coordinate in-office team meetings, 1:1 meetings with managers, taking advantage of on-site learning, and connecting with client partners is critical to delivering on our purpose of making healthcare what it should be. Outside of these offices, we have regions, where people work remotely but come together quarterly for collaboration, culture and learning opportunities. We call this our Real Hybrid and Regional Teams (Real HART) approach. Real Chemistry believes we are best together – and our workplace strategy fosters connection and collaboration in person – but also supports flexibility for our people.
Real Chemistry is an Equal Opportunity employer. Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship in Product Design Lead
Document your design leadership credentials early
Gather portfolio evidence, performance reviews, and any records showing you've led design systems or cross-functional teams. PERM audits for design roles often scrutinize whether your experience genuinely exceeds a generic bachelor's-level requirement.
Verify your role qualifies under EB-2 criteria
Product Design Lead roles can qualify under EB-2 if your employer's job requirements specify an advanced degree or its equivalent. Pull the O*NET occupation profile for your SOC code to confirm the education and experience benchmarks DOL uses during PERM wage and classification review.
Target employers with dedicated immigration infrastructure
Mid-to-large product companies that run in-house immigration programs move faster than those outsourcing case-by-case. Ask recruiters directly whether the company has sponsored PERM cases for design leads before, not just for engineers.
Search for green card sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters Product Design Lead openings by employers with active EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship history, so you're not cold-applying and hoping. Start your search there to prioritize roles where PERM sponsorship is already established practice.
Negotiate PERM filing timing before accepting an offer
USCIS and DOL processing means your green card priority date depends on when PERM is filed, not when you're hired. Confirm in writing whether your employer will initiate the PERM process within your first year, since delays compound across the multi-year timeline.
Use the OFLC Wage Search to benchmark your offer
DOL requires your employer to pay at least the prevailing wage for your occupation and location, certified on the LCA. Cross-check your offer against the OFLC Wage Search before signing so a wage-level mismatch doesn't stall your PERM filing later.

Find Product Design Lead JobsProduct Design Lead Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Do Product Design Lead roles typically qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship?
Most Product Design Lead positions qualify for EB-3 as a professional role requiring at least a bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field. EB-2 applies if the employer's job requirements specify an advanced degree or your employer can demonstrate a business necessity for that higher standard. Your specific job description and the employer's documented requirements determine which category USCIS adjudicates.
How does PERM green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for a Product Design Lead?
H-1B is a temporary status with a six-year base limit and an annual lottery for most applicants. PERM sponsorship leads to permanent residency with no cap concerns at the EB-3 level for many countries, though processing takes longer. The PERM route requires your employer to complete a formal labor market test before USCIS can adjudicate the I-140 immigrant petition, making employer commitment earlier in the process essential.
What makes a Product Design Lead position strong for PERM approval?
PERM approval depends heavily on how the employer defines the minimum requirements in the job description. Roles that specify a degree in a design-related field and require demonstrable leadership over design systems or teams are harder for generalist U.S. applicants to satisfy, which supports the labor market test. Vague requirements like 'any bachelor's degree' invite audit scrutiny, so the job description precision your employer uses matters significantly.
How do I find Product Design Lead jobs where the employer already sponsors green cards?
Migrate Mate lets you search Product Design Lead openings filtered by employers with documented EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship history, so you can focus on companies that have already navigated the PERM process for design roles. Cold-applying to roles with no sponsorship track record wastes time at a stage where employer willingness and infrastructure matter as much as your qualifications.
Can I switch employers after my I-140 is approved but before I have my green card?
Under AC21 portability, you can change employers after your I-140 is approved and your priority date has been pending for 180 days or more, as long as the new role is in the same or similar occupational classification. For Product Design Leads, a move to a comparable design leadership role at a new company generally satisfies the same-or-similar standard, but USCIS evaluates the comparison on a case-by-case basis.
