Regional Operations Director Green Card Jobs
Regional Operations Director roles qualify for employment-based green card sponsorship under EB-2 or EB-3, depending on your degree and experience profile. Employers file a PERM labor certification with DOL before sponsoring your I-140 petition, making this a permanent residency pathway rather than a temporary work authorization.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship in Regional Operations Director
Match your credentials to the right EB category
Regional Operations Director roles can qualify under EB-2 if the position requires an advanced degree, or EB-3 if a bachelor's degree suffices. Document your specific degree field and years of progressive management experience before approaching employers.
Target employers with PERM filing history
Large multi-site employers in logistics, healthcare systems, and retail chains file PERM labor certifications regularly for senior operations roles. Search OFLC disclosure data by SOC code 11-1021 to identify companies that have sponsored this title before.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers
Filtering by green card sponsorship history saves months of outreach to companies that won't sponsor. Migrate Mate surfaces Regional Operations Director roles at employers with verified EB-2 and EB-3 filing records, so you're applying where sponsorship is already on the table.
Negotiate PERM timeline into your offer stage
PERM labor certification typically takes eight to twelve months before your I-140 is even filed. Confirm the employer's willingness to begin the process within your first year, not after a multi-year probationary review cycle.
Verify the job duties match DOL's specialty occupation criteria
PERM requires the employer to demonstrate that a Regional Operations Director role has a minimum educational requirement. Review the O*NET profile for this occupation and ensure your offer letter reflects duties that justify the degree threshold DOL will scrutinize.
Address prevailing wage before the recruitment period begins
DOL issues a prevailing wage determination before PERM recruitment starts, and the employer must offer at least that wage. Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up Level III or IV wages for your metro area so you're negotiating from an informed baseline.

Find Regional Operations Director JobsRegional Operations Director Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Regional Operations Director role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
It depends on how the employer defines the minimum requirements for the position. If the role genuinely requires a master's degree or equivalent advanced credential, EB-2 applies. If a bachelor's degree with progressive experience is the documented minimum, EB-3 is the more common path. The distinction matters for priority date processing, especially for Indian and Chinese nationals facing longer backlogs at the EB-3 level.
How does the PERM green card process differ from H-1B sponsorship for this role?
H-1B is a temporary work visa with a three-year initial period, subject to the annual cap lottery and renewal limits. PERM-based green card sponsorship has no annual cap at the petition level and leads to permanent residency, not just temporary authorization. The tradeoff is timeline: PERM labor certification, I-140 approval, and adjustment of status can take two to four years or more depending on your nationality and USCIS processing speeds.
What does the PERM recruitment process require for a senior operations role?
Before filing PERM, the employer must run DOL-mandated recruitment steps, including job postings, internal notices, and newspaper advertisements, to demonstrate no qualified U.S. worker is available. For a Regional Operations Director, the employer must define minimum job requirements narrowly enough to be defensible but not so narrow that DOL flags them as tailored to your specific background. This process typically takes sixty to ninety days before the PERM application is even submitted.
How do I find Regional Operations Director jobs where employers are open to green card sponsorship?
Most job postings don't specify green card sponsorship explicitly, which makes direct outreach inefficient. Migrate Mate indexes employers by their historical PERM and I-140 filing activity, so you can search for Regional Operations Director openings specifically at companies that have already sponsored this type of role, rather than discovering their sponsorship policy during the offer stage.
Can I change employers after my I-140 is approved but before I get my green card?
Yes, under AC21 portability rules, you can change to a same or similar occupational role after your I-140 has been approved and your adjustment of status application has been pending for at least 180 days. Regional Operations Director and related senior operations management titles generally fall within the same SOC classification, but the new employer does not need to refile PERM on your behalf. Confirm the role similarity with an immigration attorney before making the move.
