Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as a Sales And Marketing Manager
Document your specialty occupation credentials early
Gather transcripts, professional certifications, and any advanced marketing credentials before approaching employers. PERM requires your qualifications to match the job requirements precisely, so mismatches between your degree field and the posted role can trigger audits or denials.
Target employers with PERM filing history
Search DOL OFLC disclosure data to identify companies that have previously filed PERM applications for marketing and sales management roles. Employers already familiar with the labor certification process move significantly faster than those sponsoring a foreign worker for the first time.
Find sponsoring employers through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Sales and Marketing Manager openings by employers with active green card sponsorship history. This cuts out roles where sponsorship is theoretically possible but the employer has no practical experience filing PERM applications.
Clarify the EB-2 versus EB-3 classification upfront
If your role requires a master's degree or you have a bachelor's plus five years of progressive management experience, ask your employer to evaluate EB-2 eligibility. EB-2 can reduce your priority date wait in some country backlogs compared to EB-3.
Align your job duties with the PERM job description
Work with your employer's attorney to ensure your actual day-to-day duties match the PERM labor certification job description precisely. Significant divergence between filed duties and your real responsibilities can jeopardize your I-140 petition at USCIS adjudication.
Check your priority date against the visa bulletin
Once your employer files your I-140, your priority date determines when you can file for adjustment of status. Check the monthly USCIS Visa Bulletin to track your place in the queue, particularly if you're from a country with EB-3 backlogs.

Find Sales And Marketing Manager JobsSales And Marketing Manager Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Do Sales and Marketing Manager roles qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Both categories are available depending on the role's requirements and your credentials. EB-2 applies if the position requires an advanced degree or you have a bachelor's degree plus at least five years of progressive experience in marketing or sales management. EB-3 covers the role when a bachelor's degree alone satisfies the requirements. Your employer's attorney determines the appropriate classification during PERM labor certification preparation.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for this role?
Green card sponsorship through PERM leads to permanent residency, not a temporary status. There's no annual lottery for employment-based green cards, and EB-3 has no numerical cap concerns at the petition stage for most countries. The tradeoff is timeline: PERM labor certification alone takes six to twelve months before your employer can even file the I-140 petition, compared to H-1B status that can begin quickly after approval.
What does the PERM labor certification process involve for this role?
Your employer must conduct a supervised recruitment campaign proving no qualified U.S. workers are available for the Sales and Marketing Manager position. DOL reviews the recruitment results and job requirements before certifying the application. The employer then files your I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. This process typically runs six to eighteen months depending on DOL workload and whether the application is audited.
How can I find Sales and Marketing Manager jobs that include green card sponsorship?
Most job postings don't explicitly state green card sponsorship availability, so filtering by employer sponsorship history is more reliable than keyword searching. Migrate Mate lets you search Sales and Marketing Manager roles filtered by employers who have previously filed PERM applications, so you're targeting companies with demonstrated sponsorship capability rather than guessing at willingness.
Can my employer sponsor me for a green card while I'm currently on H-1B status?
Yes, H-1B status and PERM sponsorship can run concurrently. Many Sales and Marketing Managers begin the green card process while maintaining valid H-1B status. Once your I-140 is approved and your priority date becomes current, you file for adjustment of status with USCIS. Under AC21 portability rules, you can also change employers in the same occupational category after your I-140 has been approved for 180 days.
