Green Card Account Based Marketing Jobs
Account Based Marketing roles qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process, which requires employers to document recruitment efforts before filing an I-140 immigrant petition. Strategic and senior ABM positions frequently meet EB-2 advanced-degree requirements, while coordinator and specialist roles typically fit the EB-3 skilled-worker category.

Document your ABM credentials before applying
Gather degree transcripts, campaign performance records, and evidence of specialized ABM platform expertise before targeting employers. PERM requires your qualifications to match the job requirements exactly, so gaps between your credentials and the posted role create certification risk.
Target employers with established PERM filing history
Search for companies that have previously sponsored ABM or demand-generation roles through PERM. Employers unfamiliar with the labor certification process often abandon sponsorship mid-hire, so prior filing history signals they understand the timeline and cost commitment.
Use Migrate Mate to filter sponsoring employers
Search Account Based Marketing roles on Migrate Mate to surface employers with active green card sponsorship history. Filtering by EB-2 or EB-3 history helps you skip companies that theoretically sponsor but rarely follow through for marketing roles.
Clarify the EB-2 versus EB-3 path with your employer
ABM director and strategy roles often qualify under EB-2 if a master's degree or equivalent is required. Ask the hiring team during offer negotiations which category they intend to file under, since EB-2 typically moves faster for most countries of birth.
Understand PERM wage requirements before negotiating salary
DOL requires PERM-sponsored roles to meet the prevailing wage for your job zone and location. Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up the prevailing wage for ABM titles in your target city before finalizing your offer, so your compensation qualifies from day one.
Address the PERM job description specificity problem early
PERM job descriptions must reflect the actual minimum requirements for the role. If your employer writes requirements too narrowly around your specific background, DOL may flag it as tailored. Work with the immigration attorney to draft requirements that are defensible and genuinely reflect the position.
Green Card Account Based Marketing: Frequently Asked Questions
Do Account Based Marketing roles qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Both categories apply depending on the seniority and requirements of the role. ABM director and senior strategist positions typically qualify under EB-2 when the employer requires a master's degree or equivalent. Coordinator, specialist, and analyst-level ABM roles generally fit EB-3 as skilled worker positions. The employer's minimum education requirement in the PERM job description determines which category is used.
How does PERM green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for ABM professionals?
The PERM process leads to permanent residency rather than a temporary work authorization, and EB-3 has no annual cap lottery at the petition level. H-1B visa requires winning a lottery selection before any petition is filed. Green card sponsorship takes longer overall, often two to four years from PERM filing to approval depending on your country of birth, but the outcome is a permanent immigration benefit rather than a three-year renewable status.
Which employers actually sponsor green cards for Account Based Marketing roles?
Technology companies, enterprise SaaS firms, and B2B marketing agencies are the most active PERM sponsors for ABM titles, since these organizations run structured ABM programs that require specialized skills DOL recognizes as meeting the labor market test. Use Migrate Mate to search for companies with documented EB-2 and EB-3 filing history specifically in marketing and ABM job categories, rather than relying on employer career pages that rarely disclose sponsorship intent.
Can my employer start the PERM process while I am on H-1B status?
Yes, and starting PERM while on H-1B is strategically important. If your I-140 is approved and your priority date becomes current before your H-1B six-year limit, you may be eligible for an H-1B extension beyond six years under AC21 portability rules. ABM professionals on H-1B should ask employers to begin PERM filing as early as possible, ideally in year two or three of the initial H-1B period.
What happens to my green card sponsorship if I change ABM roles or employers?
If you change employers before your I-485 adjustment of status application has been pending for 180 days, the sponsorship typically cannot transfer and your employer must restart the PERM process. After 180 days, AC21 portability allows you to move to a similar ABM role with a new employer without restarting. Confirm with an immigration attorney that the new role is in the same or a substantially similar occupational classification before making the move.
