Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as a Sales Support Specialist
Document your sales operations credentials early
Pull together performance records, CRM certifications, and any B2B pipeline documentation before you apply. PERM requires your employer to prove your qualifications match the role, so having clean credential records speeds up the labor certification audit.
Target employers with active PERM filing history
Search the DOL's OFLC disclosure data for employers who have filed PERM applications for Sales Support or Sales Operations roles. Past filings signal an established HR and legal process, cutting months off your sponsorship timeline.
Clarify the EB-2 versus EB-3 path with your employer
If your role requires a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, ask the hiring team whether they'll support EB-2. EB-3 is more common for this title, but EB-2 can shorten wait times significantly for candidates from countries without EB-3 backlogs.
Use Migrate Mate to find green card sponsoring employers
Filter Sales Support Specialist jobs by green card sponsorship history using Migrate Mate, which surfaces employers with verified PERM filing activity so you're not cold-applying to companies that have never sponsored a foreign worker.
Negotiate PERM filing timing before accepting an offer
Ask directly when the employer plans to initiate PERM after your start date. Some companies wait 12 to 18 months post-hire before filing, which matters if your OPT or H-1B runway is limited. Get a written timeline in your offer letter if possible.
Verify your prevailing wage category matches your duties
Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up the prevailing wage for Sales Support Specialist under your metro area before your offer arrives. If your actual duties align with a higher O*NET wage level, a mismatch on the LCA can delay or derail your PERM filing.

Find Sales Support Specialist JobsSales Support Specialist Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Do Sales Support Specialist roles typically qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Most Sales Support Specialist positions qualify under EB-3, which covers skilled workers and professionals with a bachelor's degree. If the role requires an advanced degree or the employer can justify EB-2 based on the position's complexity, EB-2 sponsorship is possible. Your employer's immigration counsel determines the category based on the actual job duties and minimum requirements documented in the PERM application.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for a Sales Support Specialist?
H-1B is a temporary status with a two-year initial period, an annual lottery, and employer dependency. EB-3 green card sponsorship through PERM leads to permanent residency with no annual cap at the petition level for most nationalities. The process takes longer, often two to four years including PERM, I-140, and adjustment of status, but the outcome is permanent authorization untied to a single employer after you file for adjustment.
What does the PERM labor certification process involve for this role?
Your employer must conduct a supervised recruitment campaign documented with DOL to show no minimally qualified U.S. worker applied for the Sales Support Specialist role. This includes posting the job, reviewing applications, and documenting rejection reasons. USCIS then reviews the I-140 petition once DOL certifies the labor market test. The entire PERM stage currently averages 12 to 18 months before the I-140 can be filed.
How can I find Sales Support Specialist jobs with verified green card sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you search Sales Support Specialist jobs filtered by employers with PERM filing history, so you can target companies that have already navigated the sponsorship process rather than guessing based on company size alone. Roles listed there reflect actual DOL disclosure data, which is a more reliable signal of sponsorship willingness than a job posting that simply says 'visa sponsorship available.'
Can my employer start the green card process while I'm on H-1B or OPT?
Yes. Employers can file a PERM application on your behalf while you hold H-1B status or are on OPT, as long as the sponsorship is for a permanent position and the job offer is bona fide. Filing early matters because USCIS uses your I-140 priority date to determine your place in the green card queue, and earlier filing locks in a better position even if adjustment of status takes years.
