Green Card SAP Technical Architect Jobs
SAP Technical Architect roles qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process, which requires your employer to document that no qualified U.S. worker is available before filing your I-140 petition. Enterprise SAP environments demand deep integration and architecture expertise that supports strong sponsorship cases.

ROLE
Subscription/SW: SAP Subscription Management - SOM (BRIM) Solution Architect
Onshore / Offshore
Onshore
Job Description
HPE’s acquisition of Juniper Networks is one of the most significant moves in the company’s history, bringing two networking leaders together to build HPE Networking, with the ambition of creating the best networking business on the planet. This role sits at the center of that effort as part of the Lead-to-Cash (L2C) program, responsible for unifying quoting, ordering, and fulfillment across the combined HPE and Juniper networking portfolios onto a single platform, replacing fragmented legacy systems with one seamless, scalable experience for sellers, partners, and customers worldwide.
As part of a fast-moving, multi-year transformation, the team will stabilize near-term operations, migrate core platforms, onboard businesses and suppliers globally, and build new capabilities from the ground up. The choices made here will shape how the combined networking business operates for years to come. You will work closely with business leaders, IT architects, suppliers, and partner stakeholders on a program with direct executive visibility, solving integration challenges at a scale few companies ever attempt.
For the right person, this is a rare opportunity to help build a new business unit from its earliest days, rather than inherit someone else’s systems. You will gain hands-on exposure to enterprise-scale platform integration and cross-functional program leadership, with the kind of complexity and pace that can accelerate your career. If you want your work to have a visible impact on a company making a significant investment in its future, this is where that happens.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end solution architecture for SAP Subscription Order Management (SOM) within SAP BRIM, covering subscription order capture, provisioning, and lifecycle change processes across the combined HPE and Juniper networking portfolios.
- Define the target-state design for subscription and consumption-based offers, including product and rate-plan modelling, technical and master agreements, and one-off, recurring, and usage-based charging.
- Architect integrations across the Lead-to-Cash landscape — CPQ and quoting, SAP SOM, Convergent Charging and Convergent Invoicing, FI-CA, revenue accounting, and downstream fulfillment and entitlement systems.
- Translate business requirements into architecture artifacts: solution blueprints, process and data flows, interface specifications, and design decision records.
- Act as design authority for the workstream — review functional and technical designs, enforce SAP best practice, and resolve cross-workstream design conflicts.
- Partner with the data and migration teams on the migration of legacy subscription contracts and install base into the unified platform.
- Guide onshore and offshore development teams through build, unit test, and defect resolution, ensuring delivery matches the approved design.
- Identify and mitigate design risks relating to scalability, performance, and operational supportability at HPE volumes.
- Support test strategy, cutover planning, and HyperCare, including root-cause analysis of production issues in the subscription order flow.
- Advise business and IT leadership on trade-offs, standard-versus-custom decisions, and roadmap alignment with SAP product direction.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's degree an asset.
- 10+ years of SAP experience, including 5+ years focused on SAP BRIM (Billing and Revenue Innovation Management).
- At least two full-lifecycle SAP SOM implementations in a solution architect or lead design role, from blueprint through HyperCare.
- Demonstrated experience architecting subscription or consumption-based commercial models in a high-tech, networking, software, or telecommunications environment.
- Experience delivering within large, multi-year transformation or post-merger integration programs with global scope.
- Experience working in agile or SAFe delivery models with distributed onshore and offshore teams.
- SAP certification in BRIM / SOM or S/4HANA Sales is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Deep functional and technical knowledge of SAP SOM: subscription contracts, provisioning, technical and master agreements, change processes, and pricing and charging configuration.
- Working knowledge of the wider BRIM suite — Convergent Charging, Convergent Invoicing, FI-CA, and revenue accounting and reporting (RAR) and of S/4HANA Sales and order management.
- Strong grasp of integration patterns and tooling: SAP BTP / Integration Suite (CPI), APIs, OData, IDoc, and event-driven interfaces to CPQ, CRM, and fulfillment systems.
- Ability to model complex product catalogues, rate plans, and entitlements, and to reason about their downstream billing and revenue impact.
- Proven design-authority skills: able to document, defend, and govern architecture decisions across competing stakeholder priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to present architecture trade-offs to both executive and technical audiences.
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-moving integration program.
- Collaborative working style across business, IT, supplier, and partner stakeholders in multiple time zones.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship in SAP Technical Architect
Align your credentials to PERM requirements
PERM requires your employer to define a minimum education and experience requirement for the role. Document your SAP certifications, architecture experience, and any advanced degrees now so your profile matches the job description exactly when the labor certification is filed.
Target employers with active PERM histories
Search the OFLC Wage Search and public PERM disclosure data for employers who have filed labor certifications for SAP-specific titles like SAP Solution Architect or SAP Enterprise Architect. Repeated filings signal an established internal sponsorship process.
Search green card roles on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter SAP Technical Architect openings by employers with green card sponsorship history. It surfaces roles where PERM-based sponsorship is already part of the hiring pipeline, saving you from guessing which employers will commit.
Clarify the EB-2 versus EB-3 path early
If you hold a master's degree or equivalent in information systems or a related field, your employer may file under EB-2, which can mean a shorter wait for certain nationalities. Raise this with HR before the job offer is finalized so the petition is structured correctly.
Negotiate the PERM job description carefully
The PERM job description locks in the minimum requirements for your role. Overly narrow SAP module requirements or excessive experience thresholds can create audit risk with DOL. Work with your employer to ensure the description reflects real business needs, not a tailored fit to your resume.
Understand concurrent filing if your priority date allows
Once your I-140 is approved and your priority date is current, you may be able to file your I-485 adjustment of status concurrently. For many nationals outside of India and China, EB-3 SAP roles can move to this stage faster than applicants expect.
Green Card SAP Technical Architect: Frequently Asked Questions
Does an SAP Technical Architect role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship?
Most SAP Technical Architect positions qualify for both EB-2 and EB-3, depending on how the employer structures the PERM job description. EB-2 applies if the role requires a master's degree or equivalent, while EB-3 covers positions requiring a bachelor's degree plus relevant experience. Your employer's attorney will advise on which category best fits the role as defined in the labor certification.
How does PERM green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for this role?
The PERM process leads to permanent residency rather than a temporary work visa, so there's no six-year limit or lottery risk once you're in the pipeline. PERM requires DOL-supervised recruitment proving no qualified U.S. worker was available, which adds six to twelve months before the I-140 can be filed. The tradeoff is permanence: a green card through PERM doesn't expire with your employment relationship the way H-1B visa status does.
What SAP-specific credentials strengthen a PERM filing?
SAP certifications tied to your architecture specialty, such as SAP Certified Technology Associate or SAP Certified Professional credentials, directly support the employer's argument that the role requires specialized knowledge. Documented project history showing end-to-end SAP implementation or integration architecture helps USCIS evaluate whether the position genuinely requires your level of expertise during the I-140 review stage.
Where can I find SAP Technical Architect jobs with green card sponsorship?
Migrate Mate filters SAP Technical Architect openings by employers with documented green card sponsorship history, so you're applying to roles where PERM-based sponsorship is already part of the hiring process. Generic job boards don't surface this distinction, which means you can spend months in conversations with employers who have no established path for employment-based green card filings.
Can I switch employers after my I-140 is approved but before I have a green card?
Yes, under AC21 portability rules, you can change employers after your I-140 has been approved and your I-485 has been pending for at least 180 days, as long as the new role is in the same or a substantially similar occupational classification. For SAP Technical Architect roles, a move to a comparable senior architecture position at a different company typically qualifies, but you should confirm the occupational similarity with an immigration attorney before making the switch.
