Senior Consultant Green Card Jobs
Senior Consultant roles qualify for EB-2 sponsorship when the position requires an advanced degree in management, strategy, or a specialized discipline, and for EB-3 when a bachelor's degree is the standard entry requirement. PERM labor certification is the first step, and many Big Four, boutique strategy, and IT consulting firms sponsor foreign professionals through this process.

Align your degree to the role
PERM requires your degree field to directly support the job duties. A general business degree may not satisfy DOL's specialty occupation standard for niche consulting practices like cybersecurity or actuarial services, so document the connection explicitly in your credential evaluation.
Target firms with PERM filing history
Not every consulting firm sponsors green cards. Search the OFLC Wage Search to identify employers who have filed PERM applications for Senior Consultant titles, and prioritize those with a track record of completing the full EB-2 or EB-3 process.
Understand how your country affects your timeline
EB-3 priority dates for India and China can mean multi-year waits even after PERM approval. If you're from a backlogged country, ask whether the employer supports EB-2 NIW as an alternative or will file concurrently to secure an earlier priority date.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers
Filter Senior Consultant listings by green card sponsorship history on Migrate Mate. The platform surfaces employers with active PERM and I-140 filing records, so you're applying to firms that have already committed to the sponsorship process, not just ones open to it in principle.
Prepare for the supervised recruitment stage
PERM's required recruitment steps mean your employer must advertise the role before USCIS will approve your petition. If you're already employed there, stay engaged during this phase since delays in the employer's recruitment documentation can push your priority date back by months.

Find Senior Consultant JobsSenior Consultant Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Senior Consultant role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship?
Senior Consultant roles typically qualify for EB-2 when the position genuinely requires an advanced degree or its equivalent in a specialized field such as management consulting, financial advisory, or technology strategy. If the standard industry requirement is a bachelor's degree, the role fits EB-3. Your employer documents the minimum requirements during the PERM labor certification process, so the classification depends on what the job actually demands, not just your own credentials.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for consultants?
H-1B is a temporary status with a six-year base limit and an annual lottery for most applicants. Green card sponsorship through PERM, I-140, and adjustment of status leads to permanent residency with no renewal requirement. There's no annual cap on EB-3 petitions themselves, though priority date backlogs affect certain nationalities. Consulting firms that sponsor H-1B holders don't automatically offer PERM sponsorship, so confirm both pathways separately before accepting an offer.
How long does the PERM process take for Senior Consultant positions?
DOL typically takes six to eighteen months to certify a PERM application, though audit-heavy periods can extend this. After PERM certification, your employer files the I-140 petition with USCIS, which adds several more months under standard processing. If your priority date is current, you can then file for adjustment of status. For most countries outside India and China, the full process from PERM to green card approval runs two to four years.
Where can I find Senior Consultant jobs that already sponsor green cards?
Migrate Mate lets you search Senior Consultant roles filtered by employers with a documented history of PERM and I-140 filings. This is more reliable than asking recruiters, since it's based on actual government disclosure data rather than employer self-reporting. Focusing your search this way avoids spending months pursuing firms that sponsor H-1B but have never completed an employment-based green card sponsorship.
Can I switch consulting employers after my I-140 is approved?
Yes, under AC21 portability you can change employers once your I-140 is approved and your adjustment of status application has been pending for at least 180 days, as long as the new role is in the same or a similar occupational classification. Senior Consultant roles at different firms generally meet this standard, but you should confirm the job duties align closely enough to avoid USCIS raising concerns during adjudication.
