Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as a Strategy Analyst
Frame your credentials for PERM's degree requirement
PERM requires the employer to document that the role genuinely needs your degree field, not just any bachelor's. Pull your transcripts and map coursework in strategy, economics, or quantitative analysis directly to the job duties your offer letter describes.
Target employers with active EB-2 or EB-3 filing history
Consulting firms, Fortune 500 strategy teams, and financial services companies file PERM petitions regularly. Search DOL's OFLC Wage Search to confirm that prospective employers have sponsored roles at your job title and education level before you apply.
Use Migrate Mate to filter sponsoring employers by role
Strategy Analyst roles appear across industries, so sourcing sponsoring employers manually is time-consuming. Migrate Mate surfaces companies with documented green card filing history for this title, so your search starts with employers already willing to run PERM.
Clarify EB-2 vs. EB-3 eligibility before accepting an offer
An MBA or master's in strategy, economics, or business qualifies most candidates for EB-2, which often means shorter wait times than EB-3 for high-demand birth countries. Ask the hiring team which category they intend to file under before you negotiate.
Get the prevailing wage confirmed before your start date
DOL's OFLC Wage Search sets the minimum salary PERM requires for your location and job title. If your offer falls below the prevailing wage for your metro area, USCIS will reject the I-140, so verify the number and raise it with your employer before signing.
Understand what happens to your PERM if your role changes
If your employer promotes you or shifts your duties materially after filing PERM but before approval, DOL may require a refiled application. Confirm with your HR or immigration team that your job description stays consistent throughout the certification process.

Find Strategy Analyst JobsStrategy Analyst Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Strategy Analyst role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship?
Most Strategy Analyst positions qualify for EB-3 as a skilled professional role requiring a bachelor's degree. If the position requires an advanced degree or you hold a master's in business, economics, or a quantitative field, your employer may file under EB-2 instead. The specific category depends on how the employer documents the minimum requirements during PERM labor certification.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for Strategy Analysts?
H-1B is a temporary nonimmigrant status capped at 85,000 new slots annually, subject to a lottery. PERM-based green card sponsorship has no annual cap at the petition level and leads to permanent residency. The trade-off is timeline: PERM labor certification alone typically takes six to eighteen months before you even file the I-140, but the outcome is permanent rather than a renewable temporary status.
How do I find Strategy Analyst employers who will sponsor a green card?
Not every employer advertising a Strategy Analyst role is willing to run PERM, and most job postings don't disclose that upfront. Migrate Mate lets you search for Strategy Analyst positions specifically at employers with documented green card sponsorship history, so you can target your applications toward companies already familiar with the PERM process.
What does the PERM labor certification process look like for this role?
Your employer files ETA Form 9089 with DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification, certifying that no qualified U.S. worker is available for the role at the prevailing wage. Before filing, the employer must run a recruitment campaign including job postings and advertisements. DOL then reviews the application, a process that typically takes several months to over a year depending on audit rates.
Can I switch jobs while my green card application is pending?
If your I-140 has been approved and your priority date is current, you may be eligible for job portability under AC21, which allows you to transfer your pending I-485 to a new employer in the same or similar occupational classification. Strategy Analyst roles typically fall under management analysis or business operations, so a lateral move within that category often qualifies, but you should confirm the SOC code alignment with a qualified immigration professional before changing employers.
