Team Manager Green Card Jobs
Team Manager roles qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship when the position requires a bachelor's degree and involves directing staff, overseeing operations, or managing cross-functional teams. PERM labor certification is the first step, confirming no qualified U.S. workers are available before your employer files the I-140 petition.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as a Team Manager
Align your credentials with PERM requirements
PERM ties the green card to a specific job description. Make sure your degree field and years of supervisory experience match the role your employer will define in the labor certification, not just your current title.
Target employers with active I-140 filing history
Management roles get sponsored regularly by mid-size and enterprise employers who already run PERM programs. Filter your search to organizations with documented employment-based sponsorship activity rather than approaching companies cold.
Use Migrate Mate to find green card sponsoring employers
Search Migrate Mate to identify employers actively sponsoring Team Manager and operations management roles under EB-2 or EB-3. Filtering by sponsorship history narrows your list to companies already familiar with the PERM process.
Negotiate sponsorship terms before accepting an offer
Confirm in writing whether the employer will cover attorney fees, PERM advertising costs, and I-140 filing fees. Some companies cap employer contributions for managerial roles, so clarify this before you sign.
Document your team size and budget authority for the I-140
USCIS scrutinizes managerial petitions closely. Gather org charts, performance review records, and budget approvals that demonstrate you directly supervise staff and exercise independent judgment, not just coordinate tasks.

Find Team Manager JobsTeam Manager Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Team Manager role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship?
Team Manager positions typically qualify under EB-3 as skilled workers or professionals when they require at least a bachelor's degree. EB-2 applies if the role formally requires an advanced degree or your employer can demonstrate the position demands specialized expertise above a standard four-year credential. Your job description, not just your title, determines which category fits.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for a Team Manager?
H-1B is temporary and subject to the annual lottery, making it uncertain for both you and your employer. PERM-based green card sponsorship has no lottery and leads to permanent residency. The process is longer, typically two to four years depending on your country of birth and visa bulletin backlog, but the outcome is lawful permanent residence rather than a renewable temporary status.
What does the PERM labor certification process require for a managerial role?
Your employer must run a DOL-supervised recruitment campaign showing no qualified U.S. workers were available for the Team Manager position. USCIS and DOL both review whether the role genuinely requires the degree and experience listed. Managerial petitions face additional scrutiny, so your employer should document supervisory duties, reporting structures, and decision-making authority carefully before filing.
How do I find employers who sponsor green cards for Team Manager roles?
The most direct approach is filtering for employers with documented PERM and I-140 filing history in your industry. Migrate Mate lets you search specifically for Team Manager and operations management positions where the employer has active green card sponsorship activity, so you're not wasting time on companies that have never run a PERM program.
Can my employer start PERM while I'm on H-1B, and does it affect my status?
Yes, PERM can be filed while you're in H-1B status, and it's common to run both concurrently. Filing PERM doesn't affect your H-1B and doesn't create immigrant intent issues under current USCIS practice for dual-intent visa holders. Once your I-140 is approved and a visa number becomes available, you can adjust status to a green card without leaving the U.S.
