Vice President Sales Green Card Jobs
Vice President Sales roles qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship when employers file PERM labor certification with the DOL. The process leads to permanent residency, not a temporary status, making it a stronger long-term play than an H-1B renewal cycle. Sales leadership credentials and revenue track records factor directly into petition strength.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship in Vice President Sales
Document your revenue impact with numbers
PERM petitions for VP Sales roles succeed when your career record shows quantified outcomes, territory growth, and team leadership. Gather performance reviews, quota attainment letters, and board presentations before you start applying.
Target companies with PERM filing history
Not every employer knows how to run a PERM for a senior sales role. Use Migrate Mate to filter for companies that have sponsored green cards for VP-level positions, so you're not educating the HR team from scratch.
Verify your role qualifies under EB-2
VP Sales roles typically require a bachelor's or master's degree plus progressive leadership experience. If your employer can demonstrate the position normally requires an advanced degree, you may qualify for EB-2 rather than EB-3, which matters for priority date backlogs.
Confirm the prevailing wage before negotiating
DOL sets the minimum wage for PERM-sponsored roles using the OFLC Wage Search. Your offered salary must meet or exceed that level. Check it early so your compensation negotiation and the labor certification filing stay aligned.
Push for concurrent I-140 and I-485 filing
If a visa number is immediately available for your category and country, ask your employer's immigration counsel whether you can file the I-140 and I-485 at the same time. Concurrent filing gives you adjustment-of-status protections much earlier in the process.
Understand what the O*NET profile says about your role
PERM job descriptions must match DOL's occupational standards. Review the O*NET profile for Sales Managers and VP-level roles to confirm your job duties align, since mismatches between the petition and your actual responsibilities are a common RFE trigger.

Find Vice President Sales JobsVice President Sales Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Vice President Sales role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
VP Sales roles can qualify under either EB-2 or EB-3 depending on the degree requirement the employer sets. EB-2 applies when the position normally requires an advanced degree or equivalent. EB-3 covers roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree. Your employer's immigration counsel will determine which category fits the job description and your credentials.
How is the PERM green card process different from H-1B sponsorship for a VP Sales role?
PERM leads to permanent residency, not a temporary status with renewal cycles. There's no annual lottery, and EB-3 sponsorship has no cap concerns for many countries at the petition stage. The tradeoff is timeline: PERM labor certification alone can take six to twelve months before the I-140 is even filed, making early employer conversations critical.
Where can I find Vice President Sales jobs with green card sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter roles by green card sponsorship history, VP-level seniority, and industry, so you're targeting employers who have actually run PERM processes before rather than those who are open to it in theory. That distinction matters at the senior leadership level.
What does the PERM labor certification process require from a VP Sales employer?
The employer must conduct a DOL-supervised recruitment process to demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers are available for the role. For a VP Sales position, that means advertising at specific wage levels, documenting applicant reviews, and filing the ETA-9089 with DOL. The process typically takes several months before DOL certifies the application.
Can I switch employers after my PERM is filed but before I have a green card?
You can port an approved I-140 to a new employer in a same or similar role if your I-485 has been pending for at least 180 days, under AC21 portability rules. A VP Sales role at a different company in the same industry would likely qualify, but you'll want immigration counsel to confirm the role is sufficiently similar before making a move.
