Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship in VP Sales
Document your revenue impact with hard numbers
PERM petitions for VP Sales roles rely on specific job requirements. Compile verifiable metrics like quota attainment, team size managed, and ARR growth before applications so your employer can accurately define the role's minimum requirements.
Target employers with existing PERM filing history
Companies that have filed PERM applications before already have immigration counsel and internal processes in place. Search DOL disclosure data to identify technology and enterprise software firms that sponsor VP-level sales roles specifically, not just engineers.
Use Migrate Mate to filter jobs by sponsorship status
Searching broadly wastes time on companies that won't sponsor. Migrate Mate lets you filter VP Sales openings by green card sponsorship history so you're applying only where PERM sponsorship is a realistic outcome.
Understand the EB-2 advanced degree pathway for sales leaders
An MBA or master's degree in business, marketing, or a related field supports EB-2 classification for VP Sales roles. Confirm your credentials are evaluated by a USCIS-recognized credential evaluation service before your employer files the I-140.
Negotiate sponsorship terms before signing an offer
PERM filing timelines and cost responsibilities vary by employer. Clarify during offer negotiations whether the company will cover PERM legal fees, when they'll initiate the process, and what happens to your sponsorship if your role changes.
Verify prevailing wage requirements match your offer
DOL requires employers to pay at least the prevailing wage for your role and location throughout the PERM process. Cross-check your offered compensation against the OFLC Wage Search before your employer submits a prevailing wage determination to avoid delays.

Find VP Sales JobsVP Sales Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a VP Sales role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
VP Sales roles can qualify under both categories. EB-2 applies when the position requires an advanced degree, such as an MBA or master's in business or marketing, and your credentials match. EB-3 covers the role as a skilled professional requiring a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Your employer's immigration attorney will determine which category best fits the specific job requirements and your background.
How is green card sponsorship through PERM different from H-1B for a VP Sales role?
The H-1B is a temporary work visa subject to an annual lottery, while PERM leads to permanent residency with no annual cap at the EB-3 level for most countries. PERM requires your employer to complete a formal recruitment process proving no qualified U.S. workers are available for the role. The timeline is longer, often two to three years, but the outcome is lawful permanent residency rather than a renewable temporary status.
What makes a VP Sales job description strong enough to pass PERM review?
DOL reviews PERM applications to confirm the job requirements are genuinely tied to the role and not tailored to a specific foreign worker. A strong VP Sales job description specifies a minimum degree in a business-related field, quantifies experience requirements like years in enterprise sales leadership, and ties compensation to DOL prevailing wage standards. Overly generic descriptions or requirements that can't be justified by the role's duties risk audit or denial.
How do I find VP Sales roles where employers are willing to sponsor a green card?
Most job postings don't explicitly advertise PERM sponsorship, so searching by employer history is more effective than filtering by posting language. Migrate Mate aggregates jobs from companies with documented green card sponsorship activity, letting you focus your search on VP Sales openings at employers who have already committed to sponsoring foreign professionals at this level.
Can I switch employers after my green card process starts?
Changing employers resets the PERM process because the petition is tied to a specific employer and job. If your I-140 has been approved and your priority date is current or close, portability provisions under AC21 may allow you to move to a similar role without restarting entirely. For VP Sales, the new role must be in the same or a substantially similar occupational classification for portability to apply.
