Growth & Operations ManagerAbout Pure Pawsh
Pure Pawsh is more than a pet store—we are a community hub for dogs and dog lovers. We offer grooming, daycare, self-wash, retail, a dog-friendly bar, events, fundraisers, and unique experiences that bring people and their pups together.
We're looking for a Growth & Operations Manager to help lead our next phase of growth. This role is ideal for someone who loves both strategy and execution, is highly organized, data-driven, and excited to help grow a unique small business.
This is a leadership position responsible for driving revenue growth, improving customer retention, overseeing key staff, implementing systems, and ensuring the business is operating efficiently.
Position Summary
The Growth & Operations Manager serves as a key leader within the business and works directly with ownership to drive growth across grooming, daycare, retail, events, self-wash, and bar sales.
This role is responsible for establishing KPIs, tracking performance metrics, managing marketing and customer retention initiatives, improving operational processes, and leading staff accountability.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys analyzing data, solving problems, creating systems, coaching employees, and finding opportunities to increase sales and customer engagement.
ResponsibilitiesRevenue Growth & Business Development
- Drive revenue growth across grooming, daycare, retail, events, self-wash, and bar operations
- Develop and implement sales initiatives and promotional campaigns
- Create and oversee customer referral programs
- Support the launch and growth of our dog beer product line
- Build strategic partnerships with local businesses, veterinarians, rescues, apartment communities, and neighborhood organizations
- Conduct community outreach including flyer distribution, networking, and partnership development
- Identify new opportunities to increase revenue and customer engagement
Marketing & Customer Retention
- Supervise the Social Media Coordinator and Events Coordinator
- Review marketing performance and campaign effectiveness
- Establish and monitor KPIs for marketing initiatives
- Ensure social media and events are contributing to measurable business growth
- Create automated email and text marketing campaigns
- Develop customer win-back campaigns
- Generate review requests and reputation management programs
- Increase Google and Yelp reviews through strategic outreach
- Analyze customer retention trends and implement improvements
Reporting & Analytics
- Review weekly and monthly sales reports
- Monitor department performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Track grooming, daycare, retail, event, and bar performance
- Establish KPIs for team members and departments
- Hold staff accountable to performance goals
- Present recommendations to ownership based on data and trends
- Monitor customer retention and acquisition metrics
Merchandising & Inventory Management
- Design and maintain retail merchandising displays
- Manage product assortment based on sales trends
- Review inventory reports and recommend changes
- Oversee ordering decisions for retail products, beer, beverages, and supplies
- Identify underperforming inventory and opportunities for new products
- Collaborate with the Retail & Operations Coordinator to ensure inventory accuracy
Team Leadership & Operations
- Lead staff meetings and ongoing team development
- Train employees on new systems, programs, and procedures
- Develop and implement SOPs and operational processes
- Support scheduling and operational planning
- Assist with payroll processing and tip reporting
- Ensure staff are aligned with company goals and expectations
- Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture
Customer Experience
- Develop and manage customer satisfaction surveys
- Review customer feedback and identify trends
- Recommend operational improvements based on customer data
- Ensure an exceptional experience across all business offerings
Schedule
Initial Schedule:
- Tuesday: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Wednesday: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 4:00 PM – Close
- Sunday: Morning or Afternoon Shift
During Tuesday and Wednesday shifts, the Growth & Operations Manager will assist with daycare operations as needed while continuing to support business growth initiatives. As the business grows, responsibilities and schedule may evolve based on operational needs.
Qualifications
- Experience in operations, retail management, hospitality, marketing, business development, or related leadership roles
- Strong understanding of KPIs, reporting, and performance management
- Experience leading teams and holding employees accountable
- Comfortable working with sales reports, inventory reports, and operational data
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Self-starter who can identify opportunities and execute independently
- Passion for dogs and creating exceptional customer experiences
Success Measures
Success in this role will be measured by:

Pay is hourly with bonuses based on a commission structure. Opportunity for full-time quickly for the right candidate.
Pay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour
