Overview
Growth Technology is the commercialization platform team for Intuit’s Consumer Group (powering TurboTax and Credit Karma). We are a hybrid team of product managers, system architects, and technical operators who build and run the content, data, decisioning, delivery, and measurement capabilities that drive growth across our ecosystem.
About the Role
As the M3 Product Manager for Unified AdTech, you will serve as the product leader and organizational manager defining platform strategy and building hands-on architecture and prototyping across Credit Karma and TurboTax. Each business unit carries distinct monetization (CPA, rev-share, CPC), funnel depth, and conversion latency — a card approval resolves over days, tax converts in a compressed season. You will lead a team of product managers and technical operators while owning the multi-year platform roadmap for ad signals, mobile attribution, consent management, dynamic creative, and media intelligence—maximizing the value realization of our enterprise 1st-party data and $1B+ in annual media spend.
In this M3 leadership role, you will evolve our AdTech operating model from execution-led to platform-led eliminating tickets compressing time-to-revenue. Your charter is to integrate AI/ML into ad operations, and ensure our cross-brand media ecosystem is optimized for privacy-safe audience targeting, signal durability, and maximum ROAS.
Responsibilities
What You Will Do
- AdTech Product Strategy & Platform Vision: Define and champion the multi-year product strategy for the Consumer Group’s AdTech ecosystem. You will oversee capabilities advancing our paid media teams, including DCO across CTV and digital, advanced CAPI & signal modernization across media partners (Meta, Snap, Google, OpenAI, etc.) and mobile-first strategies.
- Performance Marketing Intelligence: Drive measurable return on media investment by building measurement frameworks, bringing publisher data in-house, cross-brand publisher enablement, data clean rooms, building agentic bids and conversational-search ad presence.
- Web & Mobile Instrumentation Architecture: Oversee the pre- and post-auth web/app instrumentation roadmap.
- Privacy, Consent & Regulatory Governance: Serve as the primary technical sponsor for AdTech privacy compliance partnering with Legal/Privacy teams to approve complex data use cases, and cross channel identity.
- Always-On Automation & Operational Governance: Productize tag governance systems, automated diagnostic triage agents, app fraud/signal quality monitoring, and AI-assisted triage and diagnostic agent sharing insights and troubleshooting with marketers.
- Vertical-Aware Platform Design: Build shared capabilities scaling across Credit Karma’s verticals - cards, personal loans, insurance, auto and home loans - and TurboTax’s seasonal filing funnel. Own abstraction layer - shared signal pipelines, conversion taxonomy and value modeling that take vertical configuration without vertical rebuilds.
- Cross-Functional & Executive Alignment: Act as the central liaison connecting Digital Media, Performance Marketing, Data Science, Core Engineering, Legal, and external agency/platform partners (Google, Meta, LiveRamp).
- Team Leadership & People Management: Foster a culture of extreme ownership, operational excellence, and continuous development, setting clear team goals
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 10+ years of product management experience in Advertising Technology, Performance Marketing, or Media Operations, with 4+ years of direct people management.
- Deep Platform & Signal Depth: Technical fluency across the modern AdTech stack, including tag management (Tealium, Google Tag Manager), MMPs (Kochava, AppsFlyer), server-side conversion APIs, dynamic creative, clean rooms (Snowflake, Amazon Clean Rooms). Ability to design, debug and envision the systems in an agentic manner.
- Data, Identity & Privacy Foundation: Own cross-brand identity resolution as a platform prerequisite, not a compliance artifact. Partner with Identity, Legal, Data Science and Privacy on consent architecture (OneTrust, centralized consent storage) and privacy-safe 1P data activation and measurement.
- System Architecture & Technical Execution: Ability to translate business needs into scalable frameworks guiding teams through complex data system designs and creating roadmaps. Comfortable partnering with Data Engineering, AI Science, Data Science and Marketing.
- AI/ML & Automation Mindset: Experience applying AI/ML models to signal optimization, agentic workflow automation, and predictive audience targeting.
- Hands-On Systems Building: Prototypes what the team productizes. Writes SQL and Python, works directly against ad platform APIs (Google, Meta, Snap), and uses agentic dev tooling (Claude Code, Cursor) to ship working systems. We expect specs backed by running code, not specs handed to someone else to validate

Growth Manager Jobs in California: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a growth manager in California?
Growth manager roles in California require no state-issued license or certification, so the path centers on education and demonstrated experience. Most California employers expect a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, data science, or a related field. Building a portfolio of measurable growth experiments, funnel analyses, or paid campaign results is often as important as credentials. Many candidates move into the role from adjacent positions in product marketing, data analytics, or performance marketing at California technology or consumer companies.
Which companies hire growth managers in California?
Employers hiring growth managers in California right now include TikTok, Airwallex, and Intuit, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. California's deep concentration of technology platforms, fintech firms, and consumer subscription businesses means demand for growth managers is spread across both large public companies and well-funded startups, particularly in the Bay Area and Los Angeles.
Which California cities have the most growth manager jobs?
The cities with the most growth manager openings in California are San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Jose. The distribution reflects where California's largest technology and consumer internet employers are headquartered, with San Francisco and its surrounding Bay Area communities dominating due to the density of venture-backed companies, and Los Angeles accounting for a growing share driven by its entertainment technology, e-commerce, and creator-economy sectors.
Are there remote growth manager jobs in California?
Yes, and more than most fields. Growth manager work is largely analytical and cross-functional, making it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 62% of growth manager openings tied to California are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the broader flexibility that California technology employers have extended to marketing and growth functions. The most remote-friendly parts of the role tend to be experimentation planning, reporting, and channel strategy.
How can I get hired as a growth manager in California with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a rotational or associate marketing role at a mid-size California technology company, where exposure to funnel metrics and paid channels is built in from day one. Large California employers such as Adobe, Intuit, and Lyft run structured early-career programs that place candidates in growth-adjacent functions. Candidates without direct experience gain an edge by completing a data analytics or digital marketing certification, contributing to a startup's growth team in a contractor capacity, or moving laterally from a business analyst or marketing coordinator role where experimentation and reporting were part of the job.
Where can I find and apply to growth manager jobs in California?
You can find and apply to growth manager jobs in California on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring in the state right now. Search the listings for roles that match your experience and specialization, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
