Job Summary
Forcepoint is looking for an Alliance Manager to join our Partner team as the primary delivery lead for our Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partner relationships and a focused set of strategic alliances. You will own the end-to-end execution of integration programs across multiple OEM partners who embed Forcepoint’s cybersecurity technology within their own products and platforms.
You will also work closely with our global channel leadership team and the Chief Data Strategy Officer to accelerate joint go-to-market initiatives with a focused set of strategic alliances.
Success in this role depends on your ability to coordinate effectively between internal teams and external partners simultaneously—managing expectations, translating between business and technical priorities, and keeping all parties aligned throughout the full program lifecycle. This is a high-impact position that plays a direct role in expanding Forcepoint’s reach within some of the world’s most critical and highly regulated technology environments.
Key Responsibilities
Alliance & OEM Program Delivery
- Establish joint go-to-market and monetization strategies to support existing and new strategic alliances.
- Manage the full program lifecycle for multiple OEM partner integrations simultaneously—from onboarding and technical setup through go-live and ongoing relationship management.
- Maintain meticulous program organization across the portfolio, owning dashboards, RAID logs, milestone trackers, and status reporting that provide leadership and partners with a clear and accurate view of program health at all times.
- Identify, escalate, and resolve risks and blockers in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to partner timelines and commitments.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for this set of partners, building trusted relationships with partner-side stakeholders across technical, commercial, and executive functions.
- Coordinate between internal and external stakeholders simultaneously, navigating differing priorities, communication styles, and expectations with clarity and diplomacy.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration across product, engineering, legal, sales, and finance teams—acting as the connective tissue that keeps all parties aligned and delivery unblocked.
Partner Enablement & Commercial
- Manage partner onboarding processes, including licensing setup, API/SDK access provisioning, certification requirements, and go-to-market documentation, coordinating across multiple internal owners with precision.
- Apply a high standard of attention to detail across all program outputs, from partner-facing communications and integration documentation to contract schedules and compliance checklists.
- Support commercial processes, including contract management, volume tracking, and renewal coordination, in close collaboration with legal and channel sales teams.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of program frameworks, processes, and playbooks to enhance efficiency and scalability across the portfolio.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required
- 5+ years of experience in alliance management, program management, or project management within a technology, SaaS, or cybersecurity environment.
- Proven ability to coordinate between internal and external stakeholders simultaneously, navigating competing priorities without losing clarity or momentum.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage a high volume of concurrent workstreams, documentation, and partner interactions with structure and rigor.
- Strong attention to detail, with a track record of producing accurate, well-structured outputs under pressure, from executive status reports to partner-facing contractual documentation.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage comfortably at both working and executive levels and to translate technical concepts for business audiences and vice versa.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed organization across time zones and geographies.
Preferred
- Experience within or alongside a cybersecurity, network security, or data protection vendor.
- Familiarity with technology alliance partner, OEM, or reseller partner models.
- Exposure to compliance and regulatory frameworks common in OEM partnerships (e.g., FedRAMP, Common Criteria, ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Experience with project tracking or partner portal tools such as Salesforce, Jira, or Seismic.
AI Fluency
- AI proficiency is expected as part of how you plan, communicate, and deliver in this role. We are looking for candidates who:
- Actively use generative AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) in their day-to-day professional work.
- Use AI to draft, refine, and tailor communications quickly and effectively for different stakeholder audiences.
- Are comfortable with prompt engineering and can consistently generate high-quality outputs from AI tools.
- Critically evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy and appropriateness before use, understanding where AI adds value and where human judgment is essential.
- Demonstrate responsible AI usage and strong awareness of data privacy considerations, particularly when handling partner-confidential or commercially sensitive information.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding H-1B Visa Sponsorship as an Alliances Manager
Frame your degree for specialty occupation
USCIS requires your degree field to align directly with the Alliances Manager role. A marketing, international business, or strategic management degree strengthens your petition. A general business degree may trigger a Request for Evidence if the employer's job description isn't tightly written.
Target companies with cap-exempt pathways
Universities, nonprofits, and government research organizations are H-1B cap-exempt, meaning alliances roles there can be filed any time of year. If you can't clear the April lottery, these employers let you start without waiting for October 1.
Check prevailing wage before your offer negotiation
Your employer files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before your H-1B petition. Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up the Level I through Level IV wage for your metro area so you know what wage floor the LCA must certify before you sign.
Search LCA filing history on Migrate Mate
Filter employers on Migrate Mate by LCA filing history for business development and alliances roles. Companies with recent H-1B certifications in your SOC code have cleared the DOL process before, which reduces friction when they file for you.
Get your offer letter before the March registration window
USCIS H-1B registration opens in March and closes within days. Your employer must register you before the lottery runs. Alliances roles often move through long interview cycles, so start targeting employers in Q4 to allow time for offer, LCA prep, and registration.
Clarify who pays the filing fees upfront
H-1B petition costs include the I-129 base fee, an ACWIA training fee, and the asylum program fee for larger employers. Some employers pass attorney fees to workers. Confirm the fee split in writing before accepting so there are no surprises at filing.

Find Alliances Manager JobsAlliances Manager H-1B Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does an Alliances Manager role qualify as an H-1B specialty occupation?
Yes, provided the employer's job description specifies a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as business administration, marketing, or strategic management. Generic titles like 'business development manager' can face scrutiny, so the offer letter and job description should connect the degree requirement explicitly to the role's duties.
Which industries most commonly sponsor H-1B visas for Alliances Manager roles?
Technology, enterprise software, cybersecurity, and cloud services companies file the highest volume of H-1B LCAs for alliances and partnership roles. Consulting firms and hardware manufacturers also sponsor regularly. You can search employers with verified H-1B filing history for this role type on Migrate Mate to narrow your target list.
How does the H-1B lottery affect my timeline for an Alliances Manager job?
USCIS runs the H-1B lottery in March for an October 1 start date. If selected, your employer files the full petition by late April. If not selected, you'd need to wait for the next cycle, transfer from another visa status, or find a cap-exempt employer. Most alliances roles at tech companies are cap-subject, so planning around the April window is standard.
Can my H-1B be transferred if I change employers in an Alliances Manager role?
Yes. Under portability rules, you can start working for a new employer once they file an H-1B transfer petition, without waiting for USCIS approval. Your new employer files an I-129 and a fresh LCA. Because alliances roles are common at competitor companies, lateral moves within the same industry are straightforward from a petition standpoint.
What wage level should I expect my employer to certify on the LCA for this role?
DOL assigns one of four wage levels based on experience, supervision, and complexity. Entry-level alliances roles typically certify at Level I or II, while senior or director-level positions certify at Level III or IV. Use the OFLC Wage Search to check the prevailing wage for your specific metro area and SOC code before your offer negotiation.
