Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding H-1B Visa Sponsorship as a Growth Marketing Manager
Document your specialty occupation credentials early
Growth marketing roles can draw RFEs if your degree is in a broad field like business. Gather transcripts, job descriptions from prior roles, and any certifications that tie your education directly to growth marketing functions before applications go out.
Search LCA filings by marketing occupation codes
Use the OFLC Wage Search to filter LCA filings under SOC code 11-2021 (Marketing Managers). Employers with recent certified LCAs for that code have an active sponsorship infrastructure, which cuts your vetting time significantly.
Target employers enrolled in E-Verify
STEM OPT extensions require E-Verify enrollment, and many growth marketing roles at tech and SaaS companies qualify. Confirm enrollment status before accepting an offer if you're bridging OPT to H-1B, since unenrolled employers can't extend your work authorization.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified H-1B sponsors
Pull up Growth Marketing Manager roles on Migrate Mate to see which employers have DOL Labor Condition Application filing history for this occupation, so you're only applying to companies that have sponsored this role before, not ones guessing at the process.
Clarify your job title scope before the LCA is filed
Growth Marketing Manager covers a wide range of functions, from paid acquisition to lifecycle email. The LCA job description must match your actual duties. Misalignment between the LCA and your offer letter is a common RFE trigger, so align with HR before filing begins.
Ask about premium processing before the lottery deadline
If you're selected in the H-1B lottery, your employer can pay for premium processing to get an adjudication decision from USCIS within 15 business days. Confirm whether that's covered in your offer negotiation, not after the I-129 is already filed.

Find Growth Marketing Manager JobsGrowth Marketing Manager H-1B Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Growth Marketing Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for H-1B purposes?
Yes, if the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field such as marketing, business analytics, or communications. USCIS evaluates both the job description and your degree. Roles that accept any bachelor's degree regardless of field are more likely to draw a Request for Evidence, so the LCA job description should specify the required discipline.
Which employers sponsor H-1B visas for Growth Marketing Manager roles?
Tech companies, SaaS platforms, e-commerce brands, and growth-stage startups are the most active sponsors for this role. You can verify which employers have certified LCAs for marketing manager occupations using the OFLC Wage Search. Migrate Mate surfaces this filing history by employer so you can filter your job search to companies that have sponsored this exact role before.
What happens to my H-1B if my Growth Marketing Manager role changes significantly after approval?
Material changes in job duties, work location, or employer require an amended H-1B petition filed with USCIS before the change takes effect. If your role shifts from growth marketing into a general management function without a degree requirement, it could affect your specialty occupation status. Notify your employer's immigration counsel any time your responsibilities shift substantially.
Can I switch employers as a Growth Marketing Manager on H-1B?
Yes, through H-1B portability under AC21. Once your current H-1B petition has been approved and you've been in valid H-1B status, you can start working for a new employer as soon as they file an H-1B transfer petition, without waiting for approval. The new employer must file before your current status expires, and the new role must still qualify as a specialty occupation.
How does the H-1B cap lottery affect my timeline for starting a Growth Marketing Manager job?
Cap-subject H-1B petitions have an October 1 start date, meaning if you're selected in the March lottery, you can't begin H-1B employment until October 1 of that fiscal year. If you're on OPT or STEM OPT at the time, cap-gap rules may extend your work authorization through September 30 while your petition is pending, avoiding a gap in employment.
