VP, Product Marketing
Location: United States
Role Overview
Genesys is shaping the future of customer experience, bringing together AI, people, and technology to help organizations deliver better customer and business outcomes. We’re looking for a VP of Product Marketing who can turn that ambition into a compelling market story and help customers see what’s possible.
Reporting to the SVP, Product Marketing, you will lead product marketing across Genesys, connecting the capabilities of our Agentic Orchestration for CX platform to clear customer value. Your organization will span product marketing, executive messaging, and customer growth marketing, giving you the opportunity to shape how customers understand, adopt, and expand their use of Genesys.
This role sits within the GM, Head of Product’s organization. You’ll work closely with product and engineering leaders to understand our technology, influence how we bring innovation to market, and translate capabilities into outcomes that matter: better customer experiences, more effective teams, and business growth.
You bring strong product marketing fundamentals and the perspective to connect individual innovations into a bigger story. You’re equally comfortable shaping a market narrative, working through a product launch, and refining a keynote. You enjoy engaging customers, analysts, and the press, and you can make complex technology meaningful to both business and technical audiences.
You also bring practical experience with AI. You’ve applied it to your own work, helped your team build better workflows, and can share concrete examples of what you’ve learned. As a leader, you create clarity, develop talent, and inspire teams to do ambitious work grounded in customer value.
Key Responsibilities
- Product positioning and messaging. Shape how the market sees Genesys, connecting Agentic Orchestration for CX to outcomes customers care about: better experiences, more effective teams, and business growth.
- AI vision and thought leadership. Partner with product and executive leaders to show what’s possible with AI and how it can create meaningful value for customers.
- Product launches and go-to-market strategy. Bring our most important innovations to market, translating technical capabilities into compelling use cases, clear business value, and customer adoption.
- Executive messaging and event content. Create the stories behind our biggest moments, connecting the Genesys vision to customer impact through executive narratives, product keynotes, and flagship events.
- Customer growth marketing. Help customers unlock more value from Genesys through segmentation, messaging, and programs that drive AI adoption and expansion alongside sales and customer success.
- Customer evidence and industry engagement. Turn measurable customer outcomes into powerful proof points, bringing those stories to customers, analysts, and industry audiences.
- Team leadership. Build and inspire a global team across product marketing, executive messaging, and customer growth, grounding the work in customer value and embedding AI into how the team delivers.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in product marketing, product management, or marketing leadership, including senior-level responsibility across multiple products or an enterprise platform
- Demonstrated success leading and scaling global teams, including hiring, coaching, developing leaders, and establishing accountability for results
- Proven track record of developing differentiated products and platform positioning and messaging for customers, executives, and industry analysts
- Strong product and technical fluency, with the ability to translate complex enterprise software, cloud, AI, automation, and platform capabilities into clear customer and business value
- Extensive experience leading major product launches and go-to-market strategies that support enterprise adoption, customer growth, and market differentiation
- Practical experience applying AI to individual and team workflows, combined with an informed perspective on the role of AI in enterprise software and customer experience
- Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills, including experience developing or delivering keynotes and engaging with customers, analysts, and the press
- Demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels, from shaping market strategy and organizational direction to refining messaging, launch plans, and executive presentations
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors, MBA or other relevant advanced degree
- Experience marketing enterprise SaaS, cloud, customer experience, contact center, AI, automation, or platform technologies
- Experience influencing product and go-to-market strategy within a complex global technology organization
- Strong understanding of enterprise customer adoption and expansion strategies

Frame your portfolio around business outcomes
USCIS scrutinizes VP-level marketing roles for specialty occupation status. Tie every campaign result to revenue, market share, or pipeline growth so your resume demonstrates the analytical depth that justifies a degree requirement, not just creative output.
Target companies with cap-exempt filing pathways
Universities, nonprofit research organizations, and government research entities are cap-exempt H-1B employers. A VP of Marketing role at a major research hospital or university system can bypass the lottery entirely and file any time of year.
Search verified H-1B sponsors on Migrate Mate
Filter for VP of Marketing roles on Migrate Mate, which surfaces employers with confirmed H-1B LCA filing history by occupation code, so you're applying to companies that have already demonstrated willingness to sponsor this specific role type.
Confirm the prevailing wage level before negotiating
Run the OFLC Wage Search for your target metro area before salary discussions. Your employer's LCA must certify at least the DOL prevailing wage for your location and level, and a Level III or IV designation is standard for VP roles.
Align your offer letter to specialty occupation criteria
Before your employer files Form I-129, review the job description together. VP of Marketing duties should explicitly reference strategic planning, budget authority, and cross-functional leadership tied to a specific degree field, not just general management language.
Build your 60-day job search timeline before your current status ends
If you're changing employers, you have a 60-day grace period after your current H-1B ends. A VP search cycle runs longer than most roles, so initiate H-1B transfer paperwork the moment you have a written offer to preserve continuous work authorization.
H-1B Visa Vice President Of Marketing: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Vice President of Marketing role qualify as an H-1B specialty occupation?
Yes, provided the employer requires at least a bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or a directly related field for the specific position. Generic VP roles that accept any degree field can draw a Request for Evidence from USCIS. The job description must establish a direct relationship between the required degree and the duties performed.
How do I find employers who actively sponsor H-1B visas for VP of Marketing positions?
Migrate Mate lets you search VP of Marketing roles filtered by employers with verified H-1B LCA filing history, so you're not guessing which companies are willing to sponsor. DOL LCA disclosure data is public, but parsing raw files is time-consuming. Migrate Mate surfaces that data by employer and occupation code directly in your job search.
Can my H-1B be transferred if I get a VP of Marketing offer from a new employer?
Yes. H-1B portability lets you start working for the new employer as soon as the transfer petition is filed with USCIS, without waiting for approval, as long as you've been maintaining valid H-1B status and the new role qualifies as a specialty occupation. The new employer files a fresh I-129 and LCA for the VP position.
What H-1B wage level applies to Vice President of Marketing roles?
Most VP of Marketing positions fall at DOL wage Level III or Level IV, reflecting full competency or leadership responsibility. Your employer's LCA must certify at least the DOL prevailing wage for the specific occupation code and metropolitan statistical area where you'll work. You can verify applicable wage levels using the OFLC Wage Search before accepting an offer.
Does my employer need to sponsor a new H-1B if I'm promoted to VP of Marketing internally?
If your promotion involves a material change in duties, location, or employer entity, a new or amended H-1B petition is required. A title change alone with substantially similar marketing duties may qualify as a minor amendment, but your employer's immigration counsel should confirm before the promotion takes effect to avoid unauthorized employment.
