INTRODUCTION
Brain-computer interfaces have the power to turn incurable brain conditions into solvable engineering problems — and to open fundamentally new pathways for how humans experience the world. At Paradromics, we believe both come down to data rates: the higher the resolution and scale at which you can read and write the brain, the more becomes possible. Just as the history of the internet is really a history of modem and infrastructure capability, the future of BCI will be written by the hardware that enables it. We're leading in that space. This role exists to tell that story. We're looking for someone who knows how to articulate a vision — who can draw an audience toward a future that sounds like science fiction while staying grounded in the technology. This field is complex and rarely yields simple answers, but the mission is universal. We need someone who can hold both of those things at once, and make other people feel it too. This role reports to our CEO, Matt Angle.
ROLE
As VP of Marketing & Brand, you will work with Paradromics' CEO to translate a complex, frontier technology into compelling narratives. Sometimes you'll be telling a story the world has never heard before. Sometimes you'll be cutting through widespread misconceptions that need to be ripped out at the roots. And sometimes you'll be wrestling deep philosophical divides — competing with some of the most influential people on the planet for narrative control over an emerging field that could reshape society in profound ways. You'll own brand, content, and communications end-to-end. Right now, that means working directly with our CEO and Investor Relations Lead to sharpen the story we're taking into a landmark fundraising round. But the scope is bigger than any single moment. You will not be running a product marketing function or managing a pipeline. You will be building a movement.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
- Brand strategy and identity: Own how Paradromics shows up in the world — from visual identity to voice to the story we tell about why we exist.
- Content and thought leadership: Build a drumbeat of content that establishes Paradromics and its team members as authoritative voices in frontier tech and neurotechnology.
- Earned media and executive visibility: Identify and win speaking engagements, podcast appearances, and press opportunities for senior executives.
- Investor-facing narrative: Work hand-in-hand with the CEO and IR to translate our technical credibility into a fundraising narrative that lands with tier-1 investors.
- Media and communications: Own PR strategy and media relationships. Turn our scientific milestones into moments that matter to the tech press and the broader public.
- Social and digital presence: Build and manage our presence across channels in a way that compounds over time — growing audience, credibility, and relevance.
WHO YOU ARE
You thrive in environments where the strategy is still being written and the stakes are too high to wait for certainty. You've built in technology-forward fields where the primary thing being marketed wasn't a product — it was a platform, a capability, a ten-year vision. You’d know how to make that kind of story land with a domain expert, a tier-1 investor, or a patient advocacy group — without losing the thread. You are comfortable aligning at the level of objectives and principles and then owning everything below that line. You've worked with founders or executives who think in outcomes and frameworks, not tactics, and you enjoy operationalizing strategy. You are ready for startup mode. A fundraising deadline doesn't move because your calendar is full. A media opportunity doesn't wait for business hours. You are someone who stays close to the work — not because you're told to, but because you're pulled toward it. You are looking to grab this opportunity with both hands. You don't expect it to fit neatly into a 40-hour week, and you don't clock out mentally when the work is still live.
- Technical fluency: You can read a whitepaper, sit in an engineering review, and walk out knowing what matters. You don't need things simplified for you — you do the simplifying for others.
- Startup roots: You have deep tech startup DNA. You've marketed a vision before the market had a name for it.
- Stage-match: You are ready for the moment when a unicorn company starts taking off — when a dark-horse with a technical edge suddenly becomes a category leader. And you want to accelerate that through storytelling.
- Investor fluency: You don't need us to explain how VCs think — you already know, because you've been in those rooms. You understand what makes an investor lean forward, and you know how to craft and deliver that message.
- Multi-audience fluency: You can shift register between audiences and understand how a single podcast or press release will be seen by different stakeholders.
- Player-coach: This is a VP role on a small and densely integrated team. You are equally comfortable in the command center and the trenches. We are competing against well-capitalized players — including companies with essentially unlimited resources. We will not win on marketing spend. We will win on the quality of our ideas, the credibility of our science, and the power of our story. If that challenge excites you rather than intimidates you, you're our kind of person.

Frame your portfolio around business outcomes
USCIS scrutinizes VP-level marketing roles for specialty occupation status. Tie every campaign result to revenue, market share, or pipeline growth so your resume demonstrates the analytical depth that justifies a degree requirement, not just creative output.
Target companies with cap-exempt filing pathways
Universities, nonprofit research organizations, and government research entities are cap-exempt H-1B employers. A VP of Marketing role at a major research hospital or university system can bypass the lottery entirely and file any time of year.
Search verified H-1B sponsors on Migrate Mate
Filter for VP of Marketing roles on Migrate Mate, which surfaces employers with confirmed H-1B LCA filing history by occupation code, so you're applying to companies that have already demonstrated willingness to sponsor this specific role type.
Confirm the prevailing wage level before negotiating
Run the OFLC Wage Search for your target metro area before salary discussions. Your employer's LCA must certify at least the DOL prevailing wage for your location and level, and a Level III or IV designation is standard for VP roles.
Align your offer letter to specialty occupation criteria
Before your employer files Form I-129, review the job description together. VP of Marketing duties should explicitly reference strategic planning, budget authority, and cross-functional leadership tied to a specific degree field, not just general management language.
Build your 60-day job search timeline before your current status ends
If you're changing employers, you have a 60-day grace period after your current H-1B ends. A VP search cycle runs longer than most roles, so initiate H-1B transfer paperwork the moment you have a written offer to preserve continuous work authorization.

Find Vice President Of Marketing JobsVice President Of Marketing H-1B Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Vice President of Marketing role qualify as an H-1B specialty occupation?
Yes, provided the employer requires at least a bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or a directly related field for the specific position. Generic VP roles that accept any degree field can draw a Request for Evidence from USCIS. The job description must establish a direct relationship between the required degree and the duties performed.
How do I find employers who actively sponsor H-1B visas for VP of Marketing positions?
Migrate Mate lets you search VP of Marketing roles filtered by employers with verified H-1B LCA filing history, so you're not guessing which companies are willing to sponsor. DOL LCA disclosure data is public, but parsing raw files is time-consuming. Migrate Mate surfaces that data by employer and occupation code directly in your job search.
Can my H-1B be transferred if I get a VP of Marketing offer from a new employer?
Yes. H-1B portability lets you start working for the new employer as soon as the transfer petition is filed with USCIS, without waiting for approval, as long as you've been maintaining valid H-1B status and the new role qualifies as a specialty occupation. The new employer files a fresh I-129 and LCA for the VP position.
What H-1B wage level applies to Vice President of Marketing roles?
Most VP of Marketing positions fall at DOL wage Level III or Level IV, reflecting full competency or leadership responsibility. Your employer's LCA must certify at least the DOL prevailing wage for the specific occupation code and metropolitan statistical area where you'll work. You can verify applicable wage levels using the OFLC Wage Search before accepting an offer.
Does my employer need to sponsor a new H-1B if I'm promoted to VP of Marketing internally?
If your promotion involves a material change in duties, location, or employer entity, a new or amended H-1B petition is required. A title change alone with substantially similar marketing duties may qualify as a minor amendment, but your employer's immigration counsel should confirm before the promotion takes effect to avoid unauthorized employment.
