H-1B1 Chile Visa Operations Jobs
H-1B1 Chile visa sponsorship is available for Operations roles without a lottery or USCIS petition, making it one of the most direct paths for Chilean professionals to work in supply chain, logistics, and process management in the United States. The 1,400-visa annual cap rarely fills, and consulate processing keeps timelines predictable.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Operations Jobs
Match your degree to O*NET classifications
Operations roles span logistics, supply chain, and industrial management. Pull the O*NET occupation profile for your target title and confirm your Chilean degree field aligns with the specialty occupation definition before applying.
Target employers with existing LCA filings
Use Migrate Mate to filter Operations roles by employers who have filed Labor Condition Applications before. Prior LCA activity signals that HR and legal already understand H-1B1 Chile sponsorship mechanics.
Request wage level documentation from your employer
The LCA locks in your wage at Level I through IV on the OFLC Wage Search scale. Ask your employer to show you the prevailing wage determination for your SOC code and work location before signing an offer letter.
Prepare a credential evaluation before interviewing
Chilean university degrees often require a NACES-approved evaluation to establish U.S. bachelor's equivalency for specialty occupation. Having this ready before the offer stage prevents delays when the employer starts the LCA.
Clarify consulate timing during offer negotiation
H-1B1 visa Chile is processed at the U.S. Embassy in Santiago, not through USCIS. Negotiate your start date with at least four to six weeks of buffer after the LCA is certified to allow for appointment scheduling.
Verify your employer is E-Verify enrolled
H-1B1 employers aren't universally required to use E-Verify, but many large operations and logistics firms are. Confirm enrollment status during the offer stage so your onboarding I-9 process doesn't stall on day one.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do Operations roles qualify as specialty occupations under H-1B1 Chile?
Most Operations roles qualify if the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as industrial engineering, supply chain management, or business operations. Generic management titles with no specific degree requirement are harder to support. Your employer documents the specialty occupation requirement in the Labor Condition Application filed with DOL.
How does H-1B1 Chile differ from H-1B for Operations professionals?
H-1B1 Chile skips the USCIS lottery entirely and is filed directly at the U.S. Embassy in Santiago. The annual cap is 1,400 visas and has historically gone unfilled, meaning Chilean Operations professionals can apply year-round without waiting for an April registration window. The tradeoff is that H-1B1 doesn't allow dual intent, so it requires demonstrating nonimmigrant intent at each renewal.
How do I find employers who have sponsored H-1B1 Chile visas for Operations jobs?
Migrate Mate filters Operations job listings by employers with verified Labor Condition Application history, so you can identify companies that have already navigated the H-1B1 Chile filing process. This is faster than cold-searching LCA disclosure data manually and surfaces roles where the sponsorship infrastructure is already in place.
Can I switch Operations employers after starting on H-1B1 Chile?
Yes, but each new employer must file a fresh LCA and you must obtain a new H-1B1 visa stamp before re-entering the United States if you travel abroad. Unlike H-1B visa portability under AC21, there's no formal portability provision, so plan your transition timeline carefully and confirm the new employer's LCA is certified before you resign.
How long does H-1B1 Chile sponsorship take for an Operations hire?
LCA certification with DOL typically completes within seven business days. After that, your employer provides the certified LCA and supporting documents, and you schedule your consular interview at the U.S. Embassy in Santiago. Total time from offer to visa stamp is commonly four to eight weeks for straightforward Operations cases, though consulate appointment availability affects the final timeline.
